Texans vs Tampa Bay Gameday thread

No reason that we can't. he is eligible and has not done anything crazily outstanding where teams should be lining up to get the guy.
We really don't know what's going on behind the scene.
We may have "intructed" Foster not to show to much.
And then another team can still smell the rotten fish! :)

First time I ever remember a receiver being hit in stride on this team. It's always underthrown or overthrown, no matter who the QB or WR is.

Carr to Mathis against the Browns comes to mind. It was hit so well in stride, Mathis just caught it at the left corner of the endzone.

Well, that was a strange interview with Chester Pitts. His iciness towards Bob Allen was palpable.

Holy Crap... I had no idea they were playing tonight. I'll be glad when the season starts and this stuff actually matters.

Jacoby Jones place on the team wasn't much in doubt. They haven't been auditioning others for the return job.

Rex basically had the best case scenario game for him.

Nice game for Rex. Looks like he's slimmed down a little also. I think he just might be the better backup, but, Kubes will never let that happen, not with DO sitting bigtime with a nice BIG contract.

There will be a lot of EX Texans sometime tomorrow. Just hope my fav makes the 52, I think he will. BEST OF LUCK to ya James Casey!!

James Casey is pretty much a lock to make the team.....he's a good special teams player, backs up two positions, and can long snap. He saves multiple roster spots so he's not going to have a problem making the 53.

I missed all the 2nd half, I'll watch it tomorrow or Sunday. Grossman looked OK in from what I saw.

Ok, I'm really leaving myself vulnerable on this point, as I did NOT see the game. WTF are you guys talking about Rex Grossman as a viable backup for ? This gimpy armed troglodyte is HORRID. So maybe he had a good quarter. PLEASE don't give me any garbage about him "taking the Bears to the Super Bowl" ! Grossman......give me a break !

I've never been a Grossman fan either. I was kind of hoping that the Texans could trade him after his good performance friday night in Tampa. Get something for him now while his value is high. We blew it with Sage when his value was high. We got less for him the following year.

While I am no Grossman fan, he has never been "gimpy armed". He is known for having a strong arm. He makes terrible decisions under pressure, and he fumbles the ball....a lot, but he is not gimpy armed.

He looked darned good in the first half of the Tampa game. I haven't watched the 2nd half yet. Grossman may be a lot of thing, but's it's very apparent he is NOT gimpy armed. I don't like the idea of good Rex/bad Rex as my starting QB, but as a backup, he'll be fine. If he is even the actual backup. He could still end up being the 3rd string QB.
