HOUSTON

Fulton with a new ankle injury..........has been a remarkably durable player............had to go back to his college junior year Oct 2012 to find a game which he missed for injury, an ankle injury.

Cutee is the only remaining hamstring

Fuller looks like he landed on his hip last game and is suffering blunt trauma to his hip, hopefully soft tissue, not bone bruise

Heath is a new knee injury.............in the 2nd playoff game in Jan 2017, he suffered a nondisclosed knee injury.........surgery was contemplated, but then rehab was decided on (likely a meniscus tear) .........he reappeared on the injury report Nov 3 2017 and essentially never made it off before season's end

Jackson is a new thigh injury............the character of the injury is not disclosed........if it's a bruise, we should see little change in performance........if it's a quad tear, we may

JJo has a new shoulder injury...........he suffered a shoulder injury in a Jan 2017 playoff game.........then in Sept 2017, he suffered a subluxation and an MRI was obtained, but surgery was not felt to be necessary............if this last injury was a subluxation (popped partially out then back in), and if it happens again, he will either be seen wearing a shoulder harness and/or be a candidate for surgery after the season is over

Mercilus has a new ankle injury..........very possibly compensatory to the severe hamstring that kept him out so long.........although he has not been on the injury report for the hamstring for a while, the way he has been playing except for last game may be reflecting residual effects

JAGUARS

DE Calais Campbell (ankle)...........sustained last game...........week 1 suffered a knee injury...........Feb 4, 2015 underwent sports hernia surgery after the 2014 season (he played with this through the 2014 season)..........Oct 5, 2014 he suffered an MCL tear Grade 2...............Oct 13, 2013 he sustained a minor cervical (neck) strain and was carted off but was able to play 4 days later........Nov 4, 2012 he suffered a calf tear...........Nov 21, 2010, he suffered his only other ankle sprain............Jan 3, 2010 , he suffered a thumb fracture which required surgery

RB Fournette (hamstring)..........suffered week 1 Sept 9 ..... ......Marone reported that it was a "minor" hamstring............tried to come back week 4 with poor performance...........has not played since.............he came into this past TC at 223 pounds -- 17 pounds lighter than what he weighed in his rookie season, the question being would he be able to stay healthy, because he hadn't played a full season since his sophomore year at LSU in 2015..............he missed five games his junior year with an ankle injury and two games as a rookie in 2017 because of ankle and quad injuries........... he will miss his fifth game this season with a hamstring injury when the Jaguars (3-2) play in Dallas on Sunday (4:25 p.m. ET, CBS), and he's played in the first half of only two games: the season opener against the New York Giants and Week 4 against the New York Jets [he also was suspended for a game last season for missing a team meeting, so he will have missed eight of the team's 22 regular-season games since he was drafted fourth overall]

DB D. J. Hayden (toe)..............suffered a turf toes in week 2 and has not played since............hamstring week 12 2016 , IR Dec 2.............early Sept 2015 suffered a significant ankle injury and was affected for the entire remaining season.............sustained a severe foot injury 2014 OTAs, being placed on PUP to begin the season and therefore missed the first 7 games...............When he was in college at Houston in a Nov 2012 practice, he almost died during a freak collision in practice that tore the inferior vena cava entering his heart -- an injury that is fatal 95 percent of the time..............Hayden missed all of 2013 offseason as he recovered from his second heart surgery (the first was for the torn inferior vena cava and the second procedure was to remove and revise scar tissue that had formed).........he recovered well enough to be picked 12th overall by Oakland and to play his rookie season, less than a year after the vascular injury............he then suffered a significant groin injury after Week 9 2013, and was placed on IR 11 days later Nov 20

DB Tre Herdon (hamstring)..........suffered in week 5...........has not played since

C Brandon Linder (knee)........sustained in week 1..........had a short-lived back issue suffered in week 4.........2015 was an injury-riddled year for him, including toe, ankle and shoulder injuries.............his shoulder injury sustained the end of Sept was a torn labrum which landed him on IR for surgery

OL Andrew Norwell (foot)............sustained week 4............has had limited practice since, but has not missed a game..........suffered a calf strain this past TC............sustained an undisclosed leg injury midseason 2015 that kept him out a couple of weeks

RB T J Yeldon (foot/ankle).........sustained last week....... he's had multiple sprained ankles dating back to 2013 in college..........the last 2 before this recent one were in Nov and Dec 2016.........the beginning of Dec 2015, he suffered a significant MCL which landed him on IR

TE James O'Shaughnessy (hip)..........sustained last game..........Nov 2015, he was placed on IR for a foot injury.................

OL Jermey Parnell (knee)............suffered a knee injury before the preseason opener, which he missed along with the 2nd preseason game..........has been playing through the injury all season........... in Nov 2017, he sustained a knee injury and missed 4 regular season games while playing through the others

Just as an aside, Andre Hal returned to practice today. He has a 3 week window to be placed on the active roster or be placed on permanent IR.

Not good to see all our good WRs on the injury list.

Maybe they'll struggle to catch balls from our injured good QB.

Good news is that our OL is pretty healthy......

Thanks CND! How would you project his performance for this season if he gets reactivated in the 3 week window? Little drop off?
The type of therapy that he received should not have sapped him of strength as chemotherapy would have. He would have been able to continue to work out to some extent during this period of treatment. His performance should be limited only by his time away from football.

HOUSTON

Hopkins is having continued problems with his foot and did not participate in practice today. Let's just hope that this is not the makings of a Jones stress fracture.

Fulton is likely not going to play Sunday.

Wright now has a groin issue in addition to his shoulder and hand problems.

JJo only had limited participation with his shoulder. If he plays, he could play with a harness if there is fear of an unstable shoulder.

JAGUARS

Fournette not participating again translates to there is no way he plays Sunday.

Hayden's turf toe continues to keep him out of practice. He will definitely not be out there Sunday.

Herndon's hamstring is fresh, and there is no way that without practice he any chance for appearance Sunday.

O'Shaughnessy's hip either most likely did not react well to yesterday's limited participation, or less likely they are hoping that it improves with rest. If his injury is a soft tissue bruise or even a bone bruise, a rest could help him to get by. If it is a hip labrum injury, unless extremely minor, it will not be expected to respond to conservative treatment quickly. We may not see him out there Sunday.

Yeldon was eased back into limited practice. With his history of ankle injuries, if he does play, he will be high risk to re-injury.

OT Will Richardson (knee) is a new face on the Injury Report.......evidently, it was incurred during practice yesterday........he missed the season opener with a minor shoulder injury.........otherwise, no other injury history...........he was actually intended to be utilized as an OG, but due to Parnell's injury history and upcoming non guaranteed contract year, he was practiced at OT during the offseason, as a potential anticipated Parnell replacement

The Jags OL is so injured I think we can see why their offense is struggling so bad , in addition to Bortles.

2 crappy OL's, 10-9 game, team with least amount of turnovers win.

I hope Watson can stay healthy.

No sarcasm here, just honestly saying it's refreshing to see that Clowney does not appear anyplace on the current Injury Report. Hope to see a strong game from JD Sunday.

TEXANS

No real surprises for the Texans except for Griffin (not that great a loss based on recent performance, a chance for the Jordans to show their stuff) and Wright who has a bad combination of injuries (including both his upper and lower extremities and now [the crowning blow] in between ). A limited practice on a walk through day by Hopkins stills concerns me that he may be dealing with a Jones stress fracture.

JAGUARS

There should have been no doubt as to Fournette not playing Sunday.

'Shaughnessy with still no participation likely is dealing with a hip labrum problem.

Hayden with no participation and with the turf toe lasting this long with no signs of improvement is most likely to look to undergo the knife before it's all over.

Herndon is still pretty unlikely to play, but if he does will be likely to be performance challenged and high risk to re-injure.

Campbell has added a hip to his ankle injury, likely compensatory. He is a tough player that has played through a long laundry list of injuries throughout his career. I expect to see him out there Sunday, but his effectiveness will only be determined then.

Richardson not participating on a Friday walk-through after a fresh knee injury doesn't bode well for him playing Sunday.

The Jaguars feelings of how Fournette stands with his hamstring and their long-term confidence level has become more evident. They have traded a 5th round pick for Browns RB Carlos Hyde.

I wish the Texans would've given up a 4th rder for Hyde. He would've immediately become the best RB on the team. Good thing is, he's used to running behind crappy OL's.

Hyde has the same 3.7 YPC the last 2 seasons that Miller has. Though he does have 13 TD to Miller's 3. Might be nice to have someone who knows how to get past that thick white line at the end of the field.

Nah, with their RZ woes they couldn't use a guy like this. Blue will continue to improve. (Sarcasm///)

I forgot the Texans dont have the cap space to make a move like this. Oh wait!!!!

Despite his decent performance last year, you can possibly overlook Hyde's MCL grade III tear that landed him on IR the end of 2016, but I would have a significant concern about the hip injury that he sustained Sept last year and followed him throughout the year. This long term hip issue implies a hip labrum tear, for which he evidently has rehabbed without surgery. Long term prognosis is usually one of degeneration the more he plays on it. This could easily account for his performance this season looking less than mundane if you ignore the Jets game.

I wish the Texans had just matched the deal (very affordable) the Redskins gave Peterson, so this future HOF RB could've enjoyed playing for the team he pined for all summer. Dude is still a beast and a big upgrade over the Texans current group of runners.
