*Hard fought game by both teams. Ya, we made some mistakes, but we forced turnovers on D, had an effective running attack, and has awesome special teams. A winning formula.

If we fill some of our weak gaps, and continue to do the things we did today, ya never know what will happen!

If you cheered us on today, i tip my hat, your a true true fan, and its because of people like you, that football is back in Houston. Thanks sincerily, if you cheered us on today- and contiue to do so. Remember, if you stick with us and cheer us on hard through the tough times, it will greatly magnitude the better times.

GO TEXANS, DONT LOOK BACK NOW.:texflag:

I dont mean to "rain on your parade", but our rushing offense was pitiful the 1st half. I think Davis was getting around 1.4 ypc. That is horrific... The only reason he got close to 100 yards for the day is because he broke 2 decent runs for good yardage. Davis ended up with 3.25 ypc, but if it wasnt for those 2 long runs it would be even lower. I dont know what is wrong with our line (other than they suck), but they need to get their act together. On a few occasions, def linemen came straight through our line to stop DD in the backfield. At least twice they came through untouched... Im glad we got our first win, but to get another one we need to seriously improve our rush offense.

Well done, a win is a win is a win. These boys can play and this confidence injection will go a long way to further improvment....

Enjoy the win as they have not come around often this year!

When you can't pass the ball, NFL teams have the ability to shut down what you do well and force you to beat them with the part of your game that is the weakest. Until we can pass the ball like a mediocre (at least) team we will have to fight 8 in the box and teams gearing up to stop our running game.

I agree with you Vinny, but there was serveral times that the Browns Dlinemen came straight through our line to stop Davis in the backfield. Its hard for DD to make that 8th man miss when he cant even get past the front 4. There was at least 2 plays where a defender went straight past our line (practially untouched) to stuff DD. I dont expect us to average 4-5 ypc with our horrible passing game, but I do expect DD to be able to at least get to the LOS on most running plays.

The defense eventually catches on after we run a stretch to the left for the 80th time.

Watch some more NFL games...linemen get beat and backs just aren't going to have big holes every game. Priest Holmes had the same kind of day yesterday and they have a great line.

Goes to show how much Wade has been a colossal bust. It sure looks like they have zero confidence even in his ability to run block well over there.

At least we didn't pay him a ton of money. Are there any other crappy Dolphin players we can pay 25 million?

I was there and had a great time. I left very happy knowing we won, but felt used after watching real football teams play during the 3:00 games. We have a long way to go. What was most disconcerting was that I never felt like we would win.

I like seeing the rookies on the field and the vets who go hard on every play. A win next week against the Jags or another shake up is a must for the fans to keep coming to the home games. Hate to see what the stands look like if we dop the next two.

Vinny we passed blocked better in this game and our run blocking seemed to disappear. Perhaps that's coaching. Wade usually has Wiegert at his side and that I think that is a big factor. I've stated I would like to see Wiegert on the left side with Wand, but I'm certain you wouldn't like that. I would say the return of Wiegert to the lineup will improve our O-line significantly if he's healthy. He really has been fighting injuries the last two years. I still think Wiegert is our best lineman despite his age. Noticed the redskins are using a 40+ year O-lineman. Kind of amazing when you think of it. We have yet found that happy medium between run and pass blocking. One of the proponnents of zone blocking was talking about lineman taking too big a 1st step to the right or left leaving a gap for the defense to shoot through. Seems like it requires a great deal of precision or you are in for a lot of trouble. Again, as always, I think its coaching as much as anything as to why our O-line has never developed. I still think we have a lot more talent that we think we have.
