Yahoo said:Confidence Points are used to give a different weight to each game in a given week. You'll assign a point value (from 1 to 15 if there are 15 games, 1 to 14 if there are 14 games, etc.) to each game based on how strongly you feel about the accuracy of your selection. If your selection is correct, you'll receive points equal to the confidence-point value you associated with that game.
So, if you pick Pittsburgh to beat Dallas and assign the game a confidence point value of 15, you'd get 15 points for a correct pick, but no points if Dallas wins. You don't lose points for an incorrect selection.
Each week's points will be tallied, and the player finishing with the highest total at the end of the year will be the winner of the group.
Each confidence point value may be used only once per week. So, during a 15-game week, after you have assigned 15 points to a game, your next highest available value is 14 points.
Cool, Thanks for signing up! I have set the league up to use confidence points....
So do y'all want to keep the confidence points?
I've played it both ways and I'm fine either way.
It takes a lot more time and consideration with the confidence points. And when you hit all the no-confidence picks and blow the big ones, it can be frustrating.![]()
I've never played it this way, sounds very interesting. As long as everyone is ok with it, I'll keep it the way it is.
We have 6 signed up with 19 more spots available.
My wife is going to be signing up later tonight.
What are you guys using (magazines) for your draft?nfl.com?![]()

I'd be happy to do it but have never played this at all. Until baseball season is up I'm knee deep in following the Astros (it's a Showtime thing) and will do my best keep up until then, at which time I can concentrate on it a little better. If I sign in I'll be there until they fit me for a box. I always play to the end if I sign.
If that's cool with you guys I'm in, but will have to join this afternoon as I'm walking out the door right now.
Would I be the only rookie?? Does the site explain things from the ground up??
If you save one till around 4:30 today I'm in. Can't access it at work.
Mike
Cool! It's pretty easy, you pick the teams that you think will win...for the games you are most confident in the winner you give confidence points. If there are 16 games you give 16 points in the game you are most confident that team will win and if you win you are awarded 16 points. The the next game you will put 15 points in until the last game you get to 1 point. You can look at points sort of like money. Once you sign up and look how it is layed out, it might give you a better idea of how to play.
I can add more if I have to, so if you sign in later that would be cool.
18 spots are filled and I aiming for 25 but I can make it up to 50 if there is enough interest.![]()
I'm in. GL guys. I think all of you are qualified to finish second.
Mike
aaaaand that would leave third for you...?
I thought this was gonna be fantasy football..?
when's the draft?
OBTW, I'm in.
SpaceCity Knights
It's not a fantasy football league, so there will be no draft. You try to pick the winners in all NFL games played during that particular week.
Thanks for signing up and looks like we are filled up at 25! I can add 5 extra spots if I need to but the deadline is Tuesday.
I was thinking we could get a second league going. I'm in the first one but my wife is talking about "helping" me. She could get in that one and pick the damn Niners every week like she always does for all I care...lol.
Even with duplicate members, if they are anything like me would have one team pick a little more daring than the other, etc..etc.
Thoughts?
Count me in for one of those 5 spots![]()
me too..It is like golf right? lowest score and I win LOL
It say league is full. If you add some more spots, I'll play.
What are "confidence points?"
