Texans sign Rainer and Shiffer

keep it coming guys, I always liked Ranier back in his younger days, lets hope he can bounce back for a season. seems we are trying to add alot of vetrans now.

rainer is an intriguing signing...the guy has been a middle linebacker and a strongside linebacker in the pros...i personally think he has a chance to push both cowart and wong for playing time along with orr...the best part about this is that we are adding competition at almost every position with DB's being the one position we really haven't addressed yet

Maybe they're still looking...

Look for at least two DB's on the first day of the draft.... then we would be hugely improved

Think of it this way. They have the following picks in the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th rounds:

#33
#65
#66
#98

They could go half Olinemen and half DBs. That's four prospects out of the top 100 for the line and secondary.

Also, maybe there's a free agent DB out there who might be a decent pickup. I haven't looked at the list in a while, though.

One tackle in the 2nd would make me happy!!! What an off season!!!!

Don't get your hopes up on Rainer, he's on his downside.

I'm hoping for:

#33 - Winston
#65 - CB
#66 - OL
#98 - LB

or

#33 - Cromartie
#65 - John Scott
#66 - OL
#98 - LB
