Texans coverage from the Austin American Statesman

Hardcore Texan

Magnet Man
Today at breakfast I was happy to see there was much more Texans coverage in the Austin paper.....that is until I began reading the articles. There are some fair and tough assessments in there, but the articles are riddled with inaccuracies. That is if I didn't wake up this morning in Bizzaro world and it still is September 5th. I had to do a double take and check the date on the paper. Some observations:

Kirk Bohl wrote an nicely slanted article towards the cowpies, delcared the Superbowl teams and winners, and stated Matt Schaub just hopes to remain upright. He also says their receiving corp outshines ours, purely subjective to me and he has right to his opinion (don't forget Terry Glenn is injured). But I would like to ask one question to him: Who would you rather have on your team TO or AJ?

On page E7 (not sure where online this article is) the "Texans at a Glance" section is about as accurate as a Scud missled fired from the back of a camel. A little research never hurt anyone....and it would not take him long with a simple visit to HoustonTexans.com to know that:

Chad Stanley has been cut
McCardell has been cut
Harrison is on IR

But why bother with facts....its too much work. I am sure there a more descrepancies than these few, but my head was pounding in a effort to refute the dribble from entering my brain that I resorted to skimming the article.

What's next is Zabransky going to pitch it out to Lundy who will pull up and throw a perfect spiral to Bethel Johnson who will rumble 60 yards for a score? Why not, they already know who is going to win the superbowl this year.

I think I missed my calling to be a sportswriter, apparently any hack can do it. Who knows, maybe I will give it a try.

Someone should let the F.O.'s of both teams know not to even bother to leave the house on Sunday, our records have already been predetermined.

Stanley is on IR, Toro confirmed it! (lol, I told him #7 was available, and he drew an "I" and an "R" in the air.

Did they report Billy Miller dropped a ball?

Kirk Bohls is always been a crackwagon or Longhorn homer. He really has never said anything good about the Texans, our local paper The Unamerican Spacemen is in bed with KEYE too.
