Texan players and their vehicles...

NitroGSXR

Super Sic #58
I was driving to Houston from Austin yesterday morning. I noticed a brand new great convertible behind me and pass me by. I looked over and thought I saw Matt Leinart. I'm sure it probably wasn't him but when he passed me... his Texans personalized plates seem to confirm that it was Leinart. I tried to catch uo to get a second look but he was moving too fast for me. I don't speed in cars very well. I know Leinart was in California for the BYE and hitting 290 isn't exactly the route one takes from LA but damn... that REALLY looked like him.

Anyone know what kind of car he drives?

There for a while, a guy that works at a car customizing place used to post on here fairly regularly. He did several of the Texans' cars and was good friends with a few of them.

CT Customs or something like that. Haven't seen him post in a while.

But he might know what Leinart drives.

can he even fit into that thing?

I routinely drove these sort of cars for years. Being a valet supervisor at the right locations has given me the opportunity to drive these things albeit mostly only over short distances.

They're actually pretty roomy in terms of legs. Plenty of leg room similar to a Corvette. You should have seen the Ferrari that Shaq rolled up in a few years ago. Parking that thing was difficult because the seats were fixed. I could not scoot it up. I was holding on for dear life to the steering wheel trying keep my eyes above the dash. They are most certainly altered to fit their owners.

Next time you are at Reliant Stadium on gameday, go to one of the outdoor "smoking" balconies on the northwest side of the stadium. They overlook the players, player family and staff parking lot, you can see all their fancy cars there.

Is it within distance where you can throw an egg bomb?:hides:

It would take a pretty good toss to make it.

If you are there early enough, you can also see their trophy wives walking into the stadium from their equally fancy cars. Sometimes they carpool and you can catch a glimpse of two or three of them getting out of their Mercedes together.

Interestingly, most of the vehicles in this lot are black or silver.

Nah. I have seen one too many folks hawk a loogie and hit cars from the 600's.

Most of the cars would take a good toss, but an egg isn't very hard to throw far, I'm pretty sure anyone with an average arm could hit the second row of them...

there are some that may be coaches' vehicles, maybe even players that are within egg-"dropping" distance...

I think the visiting teams' busses are actually there as well? I know at least two busses were there last time, and what appeared to be an equipment truck or two... I joked with my friend that Kubes drove one of the equipment trucks, hauling that big play-sheet around...

Yes, the visiting team usually will have 2-3 buses in that lot as well. The television trucks and stuff will also park back there.

There are also a lot of pick-up trucks in the player's parking lot, I like to think they belong to the offensive linemen.

I know you'll slap me for this, but it was pretty cool. Several weeks ago we were driving into Dallas in my vett. A totally loaded black Z06 pulls up next to us and gives a little thumbs up.. it was Demarcus Ware. His license plate said " SACKED" Thought that was awesome.:zipit:

I heard that eggs are a biatch to wash off of your car!
Just a thouht! :spin: :texanbill:

My 96 Camaro was egged once. I washed it as soon as I saw it, thought I washed it well....... soap & elbow grease.

The clear coat started pealing about a week later. I guess I should have used some kind of degreaser.

Yah, i think the red, jacked-up Sierra may be Winston's...
