Texan Fans crack on Cowboy fans here

We're America's Team, so yes, alot of other fans not from Texas root for the Cowboys. I don't know why that's such a hard term to grasp.. The Cowboy's are the most popular team in the NFL, along with that comes being the most hated. I happily accept this. If these so-called "bandwagon" fans are still cowboys despite being the butt of every rival's forum, three straight 5-11 seasons, and one playoff victory in 10 years-- then let em' in! There's more room back here.

And aren't there several out of state Texan fans here if I'm not mistaken?

Give me a break. People choose to become fans of teams because they like them. The Cowboys really can't help that alot of people feel that way toward us.

I can't speak for the rest of them, but I was born and raised in Houston, TX. As for one playoff victory in ten years, when was that? Its been over a decade since the Cowboys last won a playoff game. The Cowboys are Dallas' team, period.

Hey anyone that can be a Texans fan with our history is obviously NOT a bandwagon fan. Unless they like backing a loser. It's not easy Jr. - we'll see where you are when your 18 or 19 and they suck again.

If anything I'm the Anti-Wagoner.. I'm known as the "Lost Era", too young for the Cowboy's 90s dominance, old enough to see the fall of the triplets and a dynasty.

I had season tickets going back all the way to Staubach and through Troy's era. I am hardly a bandwagon fan as well.

actually if you want to get down to it. the Cowboys aren't america's team, they just grasp on to that claim. ratings/earnings/fan following show the Steelers are america's team. The cowboys haven't been "america's team" in years. Blame the salary cap, ever since that era the following and profit has fallen dramatically, (as has the results in their wins), thats the reason why Jones doesn't want San Antonio to have a team, because 1 1/2 years ago they passed Dallas as a bigger market. Once Houston becomes a winner, they will pass Dallas

Sorry, but with the salary cap, comes mediocrity...

Dallas isn't America's team

The Bandwagoneers just shift to whoever's winning at the time, it was the Pats, it was the Steelers, it will be however feilds the next dominant team.

Actually I have to disagree with you there about profit. The Cowboys are valued at over 1 billion dollars. I believe Jerry paid maybe 160 million for them so do the math and you can see the profit has not dropped. If that's even what you are talking about.

Not sure what you are talking about as far as ratings either. If there wasn't a market for them to be seen they wouldn't be.

I will agree that the Steelers have an amazing fan base. That's indisputable.

Ok everyone let's get back on topic.

I hate the cowboys so much that their loss yesterday is worth our first two losses this year.

The best day of my life outside of personal family stuff was the win that bears my screename. I was lucky enough to be there and remember it like yesterday. Cowboy fan you are the lowest common denominator - the fact that you'd embrace T.O. is a clear sign that you are as delusional as he is.

I truly hope for embarrassment and/or injury on the home side of the field sunday.

19-10 would taste pretty good again. Moulds and AJ in the endzone, a Mario sack for safety and throw in a field goal for good measure.

And the rest of you that root for them without even living there???? Even worse - get a life band wagon losers

I'll second the post about the wish for injury being in poor taste. What if an opposing team's fan came on here and said that about one of the Texans?

That is just flat out wrong.

Come on now, take that back....That's not cool at all.

Yeah I was a little pumped at the time and said that a little quick but hell I've been injured before and it healed.

"You die, she walks out of here with a severe limp"

Chet - Weird Science

Anyway I take it back - you feel better now?

Lighten up guys - it was a thread to talk smack - not wish them well, sing songs and hold hands together. I could care less what another fan wishes on our fate in a thread like this. I wish injury on players all the time just so my guy can play - even Texans players. Do I really need to put this :sarcasm: ????

Thats a crock. The Eagles occasionally doubled O, but for the most part they didnt have to. You see, he developed alligator arms. And, to compare that pathetic performance to Andre's season last year is ludicrous. The Cowgurls are supposed to have all of these weapons, and obviously we had no one around Andre last year.

It's also funny how Cowgurl fans accuse Texans fans of "living in the past", but whenever you try to have a "real" football discussion with any of them, the first thing they do is bring up the past. Considering our past is only 4+ seasons, I think its pretty apparent who lives in the past....... I agree with another poster earlier in this thread, that the win against the panthers and th OT against New England were better games for us, but then again, I have enjoyed leaving that bad taste in Cowgurls mouth for four years. The really funny part, is I remember talking to Cowgurls fans right before the beauty of game 9/8/2002, and they were hyping the draft choice of Roy Williams, the pick-up in the off-season of L'Roi Glover and how Emmit was going to destroy Walter Payton's rushing record that year. (the only accomplishment was Emmits).

You got what you deserved yesterday - a punch in the mouth, from dare I say a short-handed Eagles squad.

Don't forget the tight game with the Packers and the comeback against the Vikes to take it to OT

Then why do they still play in a toilet bowl?

They are building a new stadium.

I don't have any idea why it hasn't happened sooner. Politics I suspect.

The Cowboys have 5 NFL Championship rings and eight appearances in the Superbowl (1 out of 5).

We have....19-10.

Even though I dislike the Cowboys, I don't think we've got a lot to crow about. It's an extreme long shot for us to win this weekend.

I hear ya, DB. I really do. But....

We had an even more EXTREME, longer shot to win in September 2002. We WON. :shades:
All bets are off now. Anything can happen Sunday. :poker:

GO TEXANS!! 4 MORE YEARS OF TEXANS GLORY!!!!!!!

:stirpot: Hey, it could happen....again.....

Indeed, FILO. I haven't given up hope that our Texans can overcome this weekend. How sweet that win would be! :texflag:

Nice Job texan fans, i am proud to associate myself with you guys. you defend your team with class and you hold the Cowboy fans to what they truly are. Delusional cockroaches who come out when there is a feast, and when there is a famine they scatter when the garage light is turned on.(for all you cowboy fans that was a metaphor figure it out)

Cowboys 5 time world champ , thirty convictions.
Dallas its a nice place to visit come see Arlington Stadium, on your way out do not leave your crack pipes in Michael Irvin's locker(they might think its his)
Excuse me , Nate do you have a ton err grey poupon.

It is finally here. The Houston Texans vs. the dallas cowboys. Texans fans now is the time to lay into them. Be nice and not too rude. Do not use big words after all they are cowboy fans.

After 4 pages I expected a little better from you, Texan fans - this thread's for "shootin' the dozens"! :cowboy1: Hey, save the Lifetime Network niceties for the Oprah blog or your wife's book club, 'cause I type before you to proclaim that Dallas sucks... and I 'aint just talking about Troy, Emmitt and TO (catch that one after lunch tomorrow)! Dallasites, Dallasonians, Dallesians - whatever you people are called (sounds like a toenail fungus) are such an odd lot - well deserving of ol' Nip/Tuck. Good old Jerry left the razorback sticks and found him a home in the land of peroxide hair, fake knockers and jheri curls (DOC still representin').

You bandwagonners make me puke - half of you don't know why the crackboys won their last three Superbowls, and the rest of you mensas didn't even know you won, period idonno: . You scratch-offed your way to the Lombardi(s) in the 90's, and still hang on to this false superiority like its your birthright. You probably think plastic face's PSL idea was a good one, too... don't you? Now we all have to shell out extra $ to watch the games - way to stand up, Irving. You paid all that money for the right to sit and bake in the world's biggest sauna! :loser Texas [municipal high school] Stadium has to be the only sports complex(?) on the planet that has more medical clinics for the fans than they do for the players. Why not call it the sweat ring of honor? While you're at it, when are you going to elect Mike Lynn into the ring? If ol' Jer wasn't afraid that tight face of his would split, he'd STILL be laughing at that one!

The best thing you wrecks have going for you are your highways (BTW, when you're finished, we could sure use those guys down here), so travel on back to your little Irving board and stay off ours! :twocents:
