Tex Mex NFL

It's just my opinion but I think this has zero chance of happening. I don't even want to know what's in the Kool Aid these people are drinking if they think an NFL team is going to park it's butt in the valley.

Ain't gonna happen.

It may not happen because of all the hurdles. But I don't think they are thinking of this as another team in Texas. It would have to be a venture of Mexican interest, and that is what I think the NFL finds attractive and unique and appealing about this.... a Mexican team, but on this side of the border.
Monterrey is where the money & power would be coming from .. not the poor Valley region.
Anyone who has ever spent any time down in the South Padre area knows the Monterrey influence in the region. Build it and they will come ... by the thousands from across the southern border.

I'm sure there are more people than I think that live down there but...I beleive it's not enough though.
I'd be cool with San Antonio.

*Scenario Alert*
The jags are for sale. What if they were purchased and moved and became the San Antonio Jags? That is, after another team moved to LA 1st.
Would you be cool with that?

I would not be in favor of the Jaguars moving to San Antonio. I'd also be against the Saints moving to San Antonio. It's not because I'm against San Antonio getting a team though. It's because I'm against any city having it's team taken away from it and I remain convinced that both Jacksonville and New Orleans support their teams.

Sure the Jags are covering seats to get sellouts and yeah, I'm going to make my share of fun of them when the time is right. I also say that the NFL knew damned well what they were getting when they decided to put a team in Jacksonville (The census is not a recent invention) and so if a team can be profitable and play there then I think the NFL has a moral obligation to not stick it to the loyal Jaguar fans.

Ditto with New Orleans. Certainly the Saints would like some improvements to the Super Dome or some sort of new stadium deal. I get that but they need to work with the city of New Orleans to get that done and not just pull up and say "well, let's go somewhere else" the first time they meet and don't reach an agreement. Look how long New Orleans waited to see the Saints conduct themselves like a professional football team.

I'm not "cool" with teams moving. It's basically a money grab by the team and nobody loses except the loyal fans. They're the only ones who get it stuck to them when a team moves. I can't support that no matter what team we're talking about.

one of my basis for hatred of a team is it's willingness to screw the fan and move on to greener venues. That's why Indy Colts suck, Ravens suck, Titans suck, Rams Suck, Raiders Suck, Cardinals Suck, and anyone else that ripped it's team from there fans suck. :twocents:
