TE's on the market

1. Jordan Cameron - This guy intrigues me a lot. He will likely ask for a lot, but if we could get a nice QB at some point I'd like the offensive passing game centering around him and Hopkins for the future perhaps.

2. Julius Thomas - Will likely be way to expensive, but he'd likely help out any offense.

3. Jermaine Gresham - Inconsistent. He is 3rd on the list of ranked free agent TE's, but I don't think he'll be worth close to what he'll demand.


After the first two the talent level drops off considerably. The Texans need to find their big TE that can be utilized in the passing game. I'd like to see us go after Cameron personally.

He has major concussion issues. I'm hoping for Virgil Green, TE, Broncos.

no way Denver let's Thomas and Green both walk. Even if they bring OD aboard. Who do you think they try to retain?

OD is definitely going to become a Bronco. Lol!

I wasn't aware of the concussion issues with Cameron. That pretty much marks him off my "want list."

Oh well, off to the draft we go I guess.
 
I don't think J. Thomas is as good as his numbers (well TD's) indicate. Someone is going to overpay for him and regret it year 1.
 
I wonder what kind of contract Gresham will get?

It should be a below market deal, but it only takes 1 team for him to get his $$$$.
 
Based on what everyone is saying about the 3 mentioned above, I'm willing to spend the money elsewhere and get our TE in the draft. This draft has more than a few good ones.
 
Charles Clay MIA could be an interesting option as a MoveTE for us. Really cleaned up his dropped passes last year, where were a problem before. Had a 1.55(!) 10 yard split at the Combine, which doesn't seem right. 4.69 40.
 
I really like Clay as a move TE and he might come cheap. I think we're set at the Y for now with Fiedo and Griffin.

I'd like to move on from Graham so I'd definitely be targeting a smaller, more athletic guy like Clay.

But I don't see TE as a major need for us.

I would say average. I could see 5-6 TEs going in the 1st 3 rounds, maybe higher if a team drafts Funchess as a move TE. 5 is the average number of TEs taken in the 1st 3 rounds over the past 10 drafts. It's just not a glamor position in college football.
