Did anyone else knew we acquired him?
I remember someone awhile back say we got him, I dont know how long we had him though. I done alittle researching and found out hes a former 2nd round pick and was a MLB behind Al Wilson, is that the reason why he didn't play that much?Well anyway I found his profile before the draft and here it is.

Positives: Undisputed leader of the defensive unit … Has a great feel for the play while it is developing … Fills the holes with force and has superb quickness at the point of attack … Uses his strength to easily disengage from the larger blockers … Uses his hands and arms to deliver a solid jolt to tight ends in the short area passing game … Shows good arm extension going up for the ball … Displays blazing open field acceleration … Moves through traffic with great determination, possessing a fluid lateral flow to the ball … Snaps his hips on contact and is very physical when taking on the ball carrier … Makes the change off in the zone with good balance … Has natural hands for the interception … All-out blitzer who uses his combination of size, speed and strength to knife through the backfield to close in on the quarterback in pursuit.
Negatives: Gets caught up in the inside trash when he tries to overpower, rather than out-think his blockers … Not that polished in pass protection, showing hesitation trying to stay with his man … Needs to be more fluid in his hips in order to properly drop off in the zone … A little slow coming out of his backpedal and stands too upright, causing him to take false steps in transition.

It say hes a leader and that what Richard Smith wanted right? Maybe he'll be a big surprise and become our starting MLB.

terry pierce has the physical ability to be a starting MLB in a mold similiar to jeremiah trotter...he's not the fastest guy but he plays against the run very good and can improve on his pass coverage abilities...i personally am very high on him and think if he's given the chance can win the starting job this year

I didnt know we even had him on the roster. Its good to know that the coaching staff is going after players who fill definitive needs to the team (Weaver, Pierce, Burelson, Flanagan). Once we get some of these holes filled up, we can go for the complimentary "gamebreaker"-yes that means Bush.

I remember when he played for K-state. He was always around the ball and if i remember correctly, he was a pretty good blitzer. Kinda small, but his motor never stopped. He reminded me of Dat Ngyuen.

I do not remember him playing at Kansas State, but they had it going on defense for a number of years and liked some of their players that had come to the NFL. Very interested to see how he pans out as it seems he was well thought of to be drafted in the 2nd and then not given a chance by playing behind an All-Pro.
