Suggestion from somebody....

I was looking through a draft site and found a comments section about the Texans...a lot of ppl seemed to think that Andre Johnson is unhappy here and wants out...

This is the craziest possibility Ive read this offseason....

" You may think I'm crazy but it is a logical answer to your question, I believe that Houston will select Gary Kubiak as Head Coach (although I would prefer that they hire Steve Mariucci), draft Reggie Bush(and if they are smart, they would trade their round#2,#3,and#4 to the New Orleans Saints to get the #2 pick in the draft so they could acquire the other half of the dynamic tag team, Matt Leinart),trade Andre Johnson to the Eagles for Terrell Owens (this may sound crazy but just a few weeks ago, the Philidelphia Eagles announced that at the end of the season, that they would start taking possible trades for T.O.[because you know that Philidelphia wants T.O. OUT!] and its a pretty equal trade in the eyes of both Philidelphia and Houston, and finally I think that whatever Head Coach Houston hires, they will overhaul and rebuild the Houston Texan organization by doing what Bill Belichec did to the Patriots, firing whoever doesn't meet up to their standards and picking the free agent pool clean of every impact player, playmaker, awesome 2nd stringers, etc. Now just think about what I have told you, Houston having Matt Leinart (or David Carr) at QB, Reggie Bush and Domanick Davis at RB, Terrell Owens at WR, every good player in the free agent pool, and Gary Kubiak (or Steve Mariucci/Jim Hasslett/Mike Martz) as the Head Coach or Offensive/Defensive Cordinators, IF they are smart and do these procedures, then Houston WILL be a playoff threat.

I stopped taking it serious with the TO blast. AJ is still growing and has yet to even hit a stride, much less grow into his true potential. TO is a team disrupter, and no amount of talent can balance out that fact. I'd take AJ anyday over TO without even thinking about it.

I agree with the both of you guys. Plus why would we trade our Star WR for a player that is going to get cut?

yeah, there are only a small handful of coaches that are willing to take a chance with TO. It's a tempting proposition, because he's probably one of the top five WRs in the NFL. But he was trouble on both the 49ers and the Eagles, and a dude like that doesn't change his ways overnight.

A new HC like Kubiak would want to avoid the "me first" attitude of a player like TO at all costs. It will take an established, veteran team to possibly work, but that will take Owens making a personal decision to start acting mature and put the team first.

I agree a 100%....not to mention TO has been around a long time already, AJ's career is just getting started.

I stoped reading even before that.

"they would trade their round#2,#3,and#4 to the New Orleans Saints"

someone doesn't understand how valuable the #2 overal all pick is.

Here is a portion of a thought I had earlier. Detroit and Arizona both need a QB in the worst way. I believe Houston is the only viable option to work with since both teams would only make this move to take Leinert. My only question is, do we hurt ourselves by selecting 9 or 10 in R1??? In order to take some of the sting out of that and both teams are WR rich, QB poor.... my offer to either team is:

Arizona: Boldin, R1-10 and R3 picks. 2007/ R1 and R4 picks. We send: #1 pick and Bradford. AJ and AB as our WR's would definately open some running lanes. In this proposal, did we get enough???

Detroit: Roy Williams, and the same proposal as Arizona's. Would this be good for us???

I still think we can get the players we need to improve this team by starting our draft day at the 9th or 10th pick. This scenerio still nets us a top WR and 9 picks this year.

There is a good chance Cutler will be there for one of them to draft. I don't know if Arizona will use the pick on a QB. They are bringing Warner back and while he wasn't the Warner of old, I don't know if they will be looking to get a high QB pick this year. If they suck this year they get a shot at Brady Quinn. Detroit does need a QB, but I don't think they would give up Roy Williams. Maybe Mike Williams or Charles Rogers. I wouldn't touch Rogers with a long stick for fear that he might break. Williams still has a lot of potential, though. I think dropping that far down would lessen the chance of getting the impact player they really want (Brick, Williams, Bush, Young, Hawk).
