Steve Slaton Signed Battle Red Jersey

He isn't selling Viagra. As long as it's Texans related these types of posts are OK.

Yeah. I see many posters who have nothing but 200+ posts of selling Texans stuff. I'm glad they're around on this board. I've made some purchases, some good some bad, off TexansTalk. Almost all dealings have come from true Texans fans and it makes the purchase all that much more worthwhile sometimes.

Man. You guys are really hard on a guy who's looking into the prospects of purchasing a signed jersey.

I regret posting in this thread. It has taken a turn that I didn't anticipate. Forget it.

I'll never understand why people care about autographs. To me, the way autographs have been hyped up all of these decades is one of the biggest and most overratted things anyone could ever spend extra money on. It's nothing but a signature where any regular person could write on and it would look the same.

Anyone wanting this could simply write Slaton's name in cursive and frame it in a glass frame and either say Slaton signed it or pretend that he did and it would have the same appeal to people who saw it and it would look the same to who owned it. Spending all of this extra money on a jersey with someone's cursive writing on it out of a marker is just foolish to me.

I have several signed jerseys and think this one wouldn't be a bad buy. If Nitro doesn't get it I might. I usually wait to see if the player does well over a few years first before getting his jersey except that whole Ahman Green mishap.

Seeing the framed jerseys at your house is why I'm looking into it now. A friggin' awesome collection you got there, Andrew.

I think everyone's just messin'. I have a signed, framed jersey as well - but I saw the person sign it, so I know it's authentic. That's what makes me wonder about these "not seen signed" items - does someone guaranteeing the authenticity make it any more sure?

Anyway - if Nitro or Andrew don't want it, perhaps I can be 3rd in line. :shades:

I got my seats from a poster on the main board a few years ago. His only post, offering very good psls at face value. I think everyone ignored him thinking it was spam or a scam :)
