I bet all Steeler fans are embarrassed by this ugly throwback uni. But not nearly as embarrassed as the Steeler players that are going to be wearing these things.

Apparently, in the early 1900s the Steelers had the same design guys as today's Seahawks.

Or, acid was popular in the early 1900s around the Pittsburgh area.

Or both.

It really doesn't get much better than the traditional Steelers unis that we all grew up with. Black jersey and yellow (gold) pants is classic and badass.

These things are just goofy, and yet another sign that money is the driving force behind all NFL policies these days.

I'd boo my own team if they trotted out on the field in those god-awful stupid unis.

Of course money is a driving force of the NFL. When has it even not been?

I don't see what these jerseys have to do with money, though. They're not selling these jerseys. It's just a part of the whole throwback fad in sports.

Of course they are going to sell them. Don't be naive.

Competition used to be a driving force in the NFL while everyone still made money.

Now money seems to be the only driving force as they water down competition and dilute the product.

Perhaps you should study league history before making "of course" statements.
 
Might be good strategy! They should win that game for sure. The opposing team will be to busy laughing their butts off to play the game of football!:)
 
How can someone stupid enough to let his team wear those be the owner of an NFL franchise--and the SB winning-est team in history, too? Senility?

Most teams that have a very long history in the league have uniforms that look out of place in today's NFL.

Maybe the championship banners and Super Bowl trophies that they have will take the sting out of it.
 
It's not like there's going to be nostalgia for a uniform they wore over 100 years ago. All the old fans are dead. I can understand something from up to 50 years ago, but...
