This yr I haven't spent as much time as usual so I'm not going to put height/weight/speed on these guys. I expect the Texans will be picking in the 6-10 range.
Rd.1 Paxton Lynch QB Memphis- I really like Goff but think he will be long gone. There's a chance Lynch will still be there.
Rd. 2 Tyler Matakevich Temple- Very instinctive LB. Tyler has covered TE/RB's/Slot WR's this yr. He has great movement skills, he plays much bigger than his 235 Lbs and I think he can be a Zack Thomas 10 yr starter at ILB. Finally a LB that can cover a TE.
Rd.3 Devon Bush FS Mia. Fla.- I noticed Bush last yr against Fla. St. he was all over the field. He was able to cover the deep single high safety responabilties and would lay the wood to WR's/TE's coming across the middle. Finally a Safety that can tackle.
Rd.4 Kenyan Drake RB Alabama- Drake is very dynamic, he has good hands and is good in pass pro. Henry got the starting job over Drake and is an all american consensus RB 1-2 in the draft. I think Drake will be the better pro. Kinda like Ingram vs Lacy.
Rd.5 Tyler Marz OT Wisconsin- Typical Wisconsin OL, well coached will turn out to be a starting RT in the NFL. Ricky Wagner
Rd.6 KJ Dillon SS West Virginia- Dillon is a well rounded safety. He can cover TE's and even play some CB and nickle LB. Very good tackler. His teammate Karl Joseph got all of the pub before Joseph got injured. Dillon is the better player. IMHO (Glover Quin type)
Rd.7 Keith Marshall RB Georgia- Marshall is very fast, he was part of a platoon with Gurley as a Freshman. Good hands, Marshall is working his way back from a torn ACL this yr and if he makes it back this pick will be a steal. If not the Texans haven't lost much. This pick is keeping within my theory of gambling on talented but injured or troubled players late in the draft.
I really wanted to fill 2 positions that I couldn't find a space for, QB Carson Wentz who I wanted to draft in the 3rd rd in addition to Lynch in the 1st and a TE. Hunter Henry is the only TE I would consider drafting in the 1st 3 rds of this draft and I dont think he's that good.
I would greatly appreciate all feedback.
