someone that would look real good in a texans jersey

I was thinking that earlier, too. I think he could be a definite impact player on defense, and the Texans need an impact player. More importantly, the D needs an anchor.

For me, though, the O-line is too big of an issue not to be dealt with immediately, and AJ will go in the first round.

I would rather have Ahmad Brooks

Brooks is fast and talented if he last till the second round he will be a steal around the same caliber as Odell Thurman. Brooks and McIntosh would go along way to rebuilding the defense. You throw in a pass rush specialist either DE or tweener and we have something rather special

you forgot the homer smiley.

If you honestly think brooks will only be as good as thurman then i've got some great beach front property to sell you in arizona.

I do not mean that Brooks will be as good as Odell Thurman, I was referring to the steal of the second round. Brooks is faster, stronger, and much more aware. I doubt he is anything less than Al Wilson.

I take it ya didn't watch the Virginia VT game. Brooks got run over by the RB and they constantly ran it up the middle. He couldn't tackle, had no instinctiveness, looked slow, and is defintely not worth a first, maybe a late second.

On the lighter side, Brick looked good and I think he isa top five pick from what I saw. If only we had that protection.

CollegeTExan are you kidding I watched the game and Brooks looked as good as he could look as the only player on a bad defense. He was around everyplay. Brick looked bad. He got bull rushed on 3 different occassions and was constantly lost as VT killed the QB.

brooks had to be around the play if they kept running up the gut. Left side protection was great. I remember Brick keeping people way out of range, they had to run to the right to get away. Also Brick's backside protection in the run game was perfect. It reminded me of Walter Jones in our seatle game when he and the LG completely washed out most of our front seven.

I didn't watch the whole game but from what I did see I agree with cadahnic that Ferguson did not look very good. On the other hand, Winston looked much better for Miami later that night. I wasn't watching for Brooks at all so I don't have any comments on him.

I was watching for him, and while he did get trucked...kinda, he was a standout on that defense. He was making plays and getting the tackles.

I'd prefer Hawk over Brooks just from the standpoint of

Hawk is nastier, he's almost if not as fast as brooks, he plays inside where we could use some help and let wong move back outside to replace a pointless babin, and he's better in coverage than brooks who is a rush specialist not so much a coverage guy or run support.

hawk is an OLB, not ILB. Brooks is an excelent run support ILB. Hawk is not as fast or near as strong as Brooks, and they have about the same football sense. Brooks gets the nod for me.

I thought you meant something like this
