Now back to your regularly scheduled sane talk. and Kiss my Ass! LOL

Let's not forget TJ was playing from behind the whole game. You have a rookie QB have to throw that many times to catch up, mistakes are bound to happen.

Texans will have a short week to forget this loss and move on to Indy....

That's stupid coaching.

If you're down 2 scores in the top half of the first qtr, you don't get into a shootout.

You change the pace of the game, you slow it down, you run the ball. You throw screens, you toss it to your backs in the backfield, you pitch it out wide, you use misdirection.

Slow the game down, keep the ball out of their hands... take your time, put up 17 points, keep your defense fresh & win the game.

I know every one was on a high about TJ..
hell I am too, however.. we all can agree the "next man up is taking it's toll" the kid is still learning.

the Texan offense hasn't been the same (understandable) we aren't the high powered offense that scares defenses.

no we arent, and it dont help we have no deep threat WRs without AJ, and its a shame cause J.J is fast just cant be physical enough with CBs to break away.

I feel our chances of winning a Super Bowl has increased.

A 13 game win streak?? I wasn't feeling it.

But a 6 game win streak... yeah, I'm feeling some of that.

:trophy:

I'm not sweating this loss really. Yes, any loss sucks, especially after coming off an emotional high like last week, but honestly i'm glad we got this out of our system. If this happened in the playoffs we'd be incredibly sunk, but all of these mistakes we made today can be corrected, we're getting Andre back, TJ will continue improving, and of course Wade will be back.

We'll be fine, guys. Time for a bounce back game against the Colts on Thursday

We needed a wake up call.
:pop:
Now let's get back on track.
Barkeep! Another round of :koolaid: please... and make it a double!

I'm sorry but i am going to have to agree with some of the guys on here. Yates will not be the story book QB to lead us to a super bowl. He made way too many mistakes in this game. Interceptions, passes too low or too high. Carolina played a great game, but they were vulnerable and the Texans could not captilize. Even last week, Yates didn't play too well untill the last quarter which of course we all forgot about cause he won the game for us! I hate to say it, but Yates is not the man. Yet. Hopefully we can get a couple of victories in the playoffs. But I just have a bad feeling now. ( I hope it's just gas and not a legit feeling)

The Jets were 9-7 the first year they got to the AFC Championship game.

Sanchez made quite a few mistakes that year & in the play-offs.

It's not over.

TJ got exposed today at HOME. I don't care about AJ being out, AF fumbling and WP recovering right now. I don't have much optimism with him behind center. I applaud you. I'm usually on your boat plugging away. However, I think I will face reality now. That reality is that TJ is not the man for the Texans to make a deep playoff run. I hope I'm wrong.

I dont think thats the case at all.

Foster put them behind the 8 ball with a fumble leading to a Carolina TD.

The running game did diddly squat in the first half. Carolina dominated the LOS in the first half ...

Recievers dropped a few ...

Yates had one bad read leading to an INT and another Carolina score. Only his second INT in 4 games.

That wasnt Yates being exposed , that was a total team effort that lead to a loss.

Dude, you keep saying that the Texans should have lost. Past tense. I don't care, the team doesn't care, and the fans shouldn't care of anything in the past, when it comes to a win, when you're saying the past should have been something other than what it is!

A person can look at so many different plays over the course of several years of the Texans that could have changed the course of their years, but they didn't happen, so obviously they shouldn't have happened. They shouldn't have won, because they didn't!

So you are saying that how bad a team has played doesn't have any bearing on the games it will play in the future? Sure, makes sense. Not like playing poorly will cause us to lose to playoff teams or anything.

You don't know any of this for a fact.

You're right. It's not like we lost to Baltimore or New Orleans by playing poorly or anything. In fact, we have played more poorly recently than we did in those losses.

I understand that if we keep playing like today then the odds are slim that the Texans make any ripples in the playoffs. I, too, am not going to subscribe to blind homerism; nonetheless, the root of "realistic" is reality; and I don't think it's mere semantics that "should," as opposed to a more appropriate "could have lost," was what's in order.

Perhaps your definition of realism is different from mine. In trying to be realistic, I am attempting to compare how we have been playing lately to how we will play in the future. This is the time of year playoff teams get hot or cool off. Right now I am worried we are cooling off. Based on our play that is a very realistic concern.

I've been an Oilers/Texans fan longer than you've been alive - since 1983 - when I was old enough to be able appreciate the game. I was 10 years old. No, my post count doesn't reflect that.

I'm sorry, I simply cannot abide by revisionism. Yes, the Texans did not look like a playoff team today. Thursday will tell whether they bounce back or not. That only means putting a total spanking against the Colts.

Again, I have never called your fanhood into doubt. But to think yours is any better or more important than mine is absurd. The texans have been around for almost 10 years, we have both been a fan for that long. You have not been a fan of the Texans longer than I have nor vise versa. The Oilers are moot in this discussion, this is a Texans message board, not Oilers so you can't put forth fanhood for them here.

My point still stands. It is low of you to call my fanhood into question because I am worried the Texans will have a letdown as they often do. If you have a different perspective then that's great. But no part of what I said was wrong nor was it 'revisinist history'.

you forgot....

- McNair is a CHEAPSKATE!!

- Wade is a slacker for not toughing it out and waiting until the offseason to have surgery.
- Trade AJ! If he could stand up then could have played today!

...sorry, that's all the ridiculousness I can come up with

And we have a winner. Not to mention the D strugging for the 1st half and that TD drive in the 4th.

i was not biatching about other members. I mainly talked about todays game, this is like trying a 50 yard FG on the 50 yard line when its first down in the first quarter.

This site is full of some of the most uneducated, ignorant, and down right stupid fans. Some moron asked about bringing Schaub back. The name our defense threads are annoying. The stupidity is amazing.

The Texans are fine and if anything, they needed this.

Thank god for CND's posts and a few others or this site would be totally worthless.

And ignore in 3.... 2.... Bye!

Everyone seems a little testy today, with the loss.

Since the thread is moved, perhaps a little perspective is in order:

wounded-warriors.jpg

Remember our soldiers this holiday season,

Those still in harms way and those returned home to us.

Offer what you can -- a helping hand, a job, your time/understanding...

Or just a handshake and a, "Thank you for your service" will do.

Post count definitely dictates how long we have been a member or lurking.

Good talk
No, but when the "new guy" starts taking pot-shots at other members of the forum, he'd better be able to back it up. Other than your childish rant, you haven't. If you've got an X's & O's breakdown of today's game to present, we're all ears.

Otherwise, you're just contributing to the overall "stupidity" that seems to amaze you.

To tell you the truth....I think they needed that loss. I know that goes against what others would say.
Foster has to have better ball security
TJ is a rookie and is going to make mistakes.......the thing is .....does he learn from those mistakes.....I think he does.....

Defense had some mental letdowns.......

AND NO ANDRE JOHNSON. He is such a big playmaker and everytime he is out....it hurts this offense.......no if ands or buts.........

Fans need to look at the long term picture.....
