nunusguy said:And we need all the high draft picks we can get - that's for sure. With Payne's latest injury and all the problems we have on O-line, what's the
top priority, O-line or D-line ?
Vinny said:Not really good news since this is such a thin draft. We will end up paying more for same talent.

Chiefs
Panthers - Lost
Bengals - Won
Saints - Won
That cutesy boy has gotten his *** kicked for three yrs and had gotten back up every time, gotten better every year and has led his team to wins every year. Not sure why I even wasted my time replying to your comments. Oh well.Makechangesnow said:Better start looking for an NFL QB instead of a cutesy hair boy...
Texans Pride said:So since the Panthers lost the highest draft pick we can get will be 13th now? Is that correct, or did the Panther loss put us at the 12th?
Thanks for the info Dime
Only if we get someone great like Jones, no more weigert's and wade's that doesn't seem to be working out. I don't mind them, but they're not great.phan1 said:I'd rather look for an O-lineman in free agency. Maybe we could land someone big?

There's nothing wrong with looking for a franchise quarterback. Carr is nothing better than average. If he is a franchise QB please provide something to back this up other than the fact that he has been sacked a bunch and still plays the games.
AndreJ said:Yeah I'll do that as soon as you provide something to back up why we should get rid of him.
Dime said:Currently (NOT OFFICIAL) , we are setting at pick 12 or 13... We are tied only with jacksonville.. and strength of schedule is the same, looking for nest level. All other games wont matter.
AndreJ said:Yeah I'll do that as soon as you provide something to back up why we should get rid of him.
Texans Pride said:How are we tied with Jacksonville.....We are 7-9, and they are 8-7 right now, if they loose today then they will be 8-9, but still a better record than us.
Dime said:Other then the underthrown passes, and the sidearming balls, but what about his descision making...
Thanks Dime.Dime said:Currently... We are either pick 12 or 13... No other games matter. We are tied with the Panthers. Strength of Schedule is the same, I am trying to find the next level so we can find out if we are pick 12 or 13.
the wonger need food said:I never said to get rid of him. He is an average QB which would make a great backup.

AndreJ said:I don't care who the QB is (with the exception of Vick), but if you put just about any other QB in the leauge with the pressure Carr gets, I'm pretty sure there throws and decision making wouldn't be all that great either. The man needs some pass protection. I can't stress that enough. The run blocking has been Ok. But the pass protection SUCKS. They've got to figure out someway to get him some time in the pocket.
Im not trying to say that he doesn't make mistakes, but good lord someone earlier said that we should maybe look at BJ. Why,? so he can set another sack record with the Texans.
As for sidearming balls, thats his throwig motion where the hell have you been.

Dime said:2. As for sidearming balls, thats his throwig motion where the hell have you been. Actually, where have you been??? This throwing motion was not his main delivery stance last year and just started this year with POOR results. He has been questioned on it since people notice it is not helping. You are admitting this is a problem, so you think this is ok apparently. Name another good QB out there that does a sidearm delievery constantly and is good about it... I dont think you can.
ArlingtonTexan said:Since Banks is a FA, I am thinking that the Texans need to sign a veteran QB to be back-up.
AndreJ said:Maybe I'm blind, but i've never seen Carr stand in the pocket and throw a sidearmed ball. The only time i've seen this is with him running out of the pocket.
AndreJ said:Avg. QB? You've gotta be ****tin me. Mark Brunell, Bryan Griese, and who else..... Jay Fiedler are avg. QB's give me a break. I think you've been watching to many Indy games and thinking everyone should be just as good as peyton. Wake up and smell the coffee for crying out loud. There are plenty of teams who I'm sure would love to have Carr.
Great Backup. LoL duhh. he's a good QB![]()
the wonger need food said:We all know that the line is horrible, but why not challenge Carr to play better? He seems too content right now and that's because he is in no danger of losing his job. You saw how he actually made an effort to get upfield after getting boo'ed today. Bring someone else in to challenge him for his job and maybe we'll see that kind of effort and fire on every play. I am sick and tired of seeing him roll to right and running out of bounds every time there is a hint of pressure.
If there is anyone on this board that thinks Carr is as good as it gets you're myopic. There are good QB's coming out of college every year. I'm not saying that Carr can't take this team to a championship, maybe he can and I hope he does. But let's not sit back and wait for it. If there is a better QB available why not try to get him on this team?
the wonger need food said:And there are a lot of QB's out there that the Texans would like to have. Like I said he is average. He's not great and he is not terrible, he's average.

Dime said:Where have I been... Amazing..
. Yes... he is rushed, but Carr is NOT as good as most of the starters in the league when being rushed. The O-line is mainly responsible for this, but Carr does not do well when rushed most of the time. He has had his exceptions.
edo783 said:Let's see...most of our running yards come going to the left side, fewer penalties (at LT) and fewer sacks than the middle and right, but that is the side that needs to be replaced? The middle (C) and RG need work no doubt, but the left? The interesting thing about the running yards to the left is that Wade at RT is the one that was supposed to be the best at run blocking when we brought him in yet that isn't the side we tend to run to.
