I'm all for picking Williams over Bush. Running backs are a dime a dozen, and no running back drafted #1 overall has taken their team to a title. NONE.

I will always be a Texans fan, I just don't understand how you couldn't maximize your value for the pick if Mario was your man. Why is it everyone now is trying to trade for the number 2 pick but there was no trade for the number 1 pick? You can't get me to believe that.

Bush is not the average RB, he is more and Houston should have gotten him!
 
Mario has no heart, no desire. When are they going to learn weight, height,speed, doesn't make a great player. Heart does. Mario had to be talked with his senior year. His coach told him he was costing himself a lot of money by being lazy. He didn't play for the love of the game, only the promise of money. He has his money now so he has no motivation. The Texans have no leverage to get him to perform. Look at Ricky Williams, no love of the gamebut great talent. Eddie Griffin, no real desire. Stromile Swift etc. Is this our fate with Mario, I think so.

Manny Lawson will be a better player than Mario.

The Texans let their ego get in the way. McNair was offended by Bush and his agent and decided that they would show them who was BOSS. Way to go McNair and company.

To my knowledge, no runningback has been taken #1 overall, if he hasn't proven that he can carry the ball 20+ times a game....... none, not one, nada zip zilch, zero.
