For anyone watching the UT and Texas Tech game saturday keep an eye on Techs Saftey, Slay. This guy is big, the announcers saying bigger than linemen and he hits as hard as anyone. If Young runs too many times, he could get taken out of the game. At the rate hes playing right now, he's bound to be a 1st round pick whenever he is up for the draft, unless he gets a bad injury or stops playing so well.

4 tackles. Not impressed. Seems like he's made a name for himself with a few highlite reel hits but not much else.

Bigger than linemen? Who comes up with this stuff?

while i didnt get a chance to watch all the game due to work, i stll watch some of it there and i did see him help defend a deep pass that turned into an interception. also remember, he is the only notable member of the secondary for tech going against texas who is the #2 school in the nation.

#1 is a better safety, he's just not a mad man out there like #3
Blake Collier will be better than both of them

Is the guy all hype by Texas Tech or is he a legit Safety who can knock your teeth out?

Might be a decent pick in the later rounds, seeing we need O line and Linebacker help first.

i've yet to disect any college games (not a college ball fan, but sis is at tech), but from watching most of the tech games ... i'm in full belief that slay's the real deal. this kid's evil. 6'3"+, 215lbs with good frame, explodes into tackles, has pretty good hands which often get overlooked, and he plays like AJ does. soft spoken good kid off the field, on the field it's a job and he's got people to hurt. if he makes it past the 2nd round, sign up here and take my money.

again, i'm not a college football fan, so that might be my :homer: take

Here in Austin some of the local sports taking heads have been trumpeting his name so that may be what is being echoed here. The kid has looked good the times I have seen him and is worth watching.

hey if ya'll watched him against a&m you would know he's worth watching and worth drafting...the kid is a head hunter in the defensive backfield...hints the last name slay...trust me i know...i watch the kid every week...i've met him in person...the guy is a stand up guy...if we draft him it would be great to finally have a guy in the backfield that can lay the wood
