I'm a Texans fan all the way. Whether it's the wrong move or not, if this one decision changes your mind, well, I'm sorry.

C'mon folks. Who changes teams over 1 pick?
If you made it through last season, you can make it through anything that Bob is letting happen.

Kubes, is this your pick? WHY? We ALL want to know. A good explanation to us fans would be very nice.

While I am somewhat taken aback over this, nothing that Casserly does suprises me anymore, other than he is still HERE.

Texans all the way, baby. But it may sure be quiet in the stadium this season.

i dont think we need an explanation. Mario is a beast, and clearly the best defensive player in the draft. the same is true of Reggie on offense. we chose defense.

now, if VY goes to the Titans, we'll be ready.

im very happy with this. we just might have a pass rush finally.

I'd rather shave my head with a cheese grater while chewing aluminum foil, then dipped in rubbing alcohol, before ever cheering for the Cowboys or Titans.

Houston Texan till I die! LOUD & PROUD!! :texflag:

1. Does anyone remember the trade that put Portis in Washington? Denver got rid of a proven Pro Bowl running back for a pro bowl defensive player (cornerback). At that time people were saying "Why would you get rid of clinton portis? He just rushed for 1,500 yards." Denver then took some mediocre backs and produced a 1000 yrd rusher the first year and almost 2 1000 yrd rusher the next. Look at Denver's overall record the year Portis rushed for 1,500 yard and their record last year. Seems that trade worked out best for the broncos. Same staff that helped make that trade happen is now in Houston.
2. Do you remember the asking price for all of the Free Agent running backs last year. Edgerrin James - 2nd round pick? NOPE, Shaun Alexander - 2nd round pick? Nope. Simple facts, the running back position just isn't as valuable in today's football world. If Carolina offered Julius Peppers for any teams 1st round pick, how many teams do you think would make that deal? My guess is 30 out of 32.
3. Are perennial winning teams the ones loaded with offensive stars? Who is the star on the Pittsburg Steelers? New England Patriots? Those are teams with outstanding defenses and ball control offenses.

Did I want Reggie Bush? Yep. Can not deny it. But, we have improved our offense in free agency. If we can get some lineman and secondary help in the rest of the draft we should be vastly improved. This isn't a popular choice but in todays game, probably a smart one.

My early season prediction? More pass rush puts Drob in his first pro bowl and we start winning some ball games.

And flossing my teeth with barbed wire whilst viewing pictures of Jerry Jones' plastic surgery and Bud Adams combover.

I'm still a Texan fan, but I'm not sure about this decision. I'm not all that mad about not getting Bush, since we already have DD and Morency, but with Williams we already just signed Weaver and have Babin as a former 1st round pick plus Peek as our DE's. So who gets left out? I would have liked to trade out of #1 or have gone D Brick, but hopefully we get another Julius Peppers with Mario.

I wanted them to pick Mario, and even if they picked Bush, Vince, or D'Brick I'd still be a Texan fan. They're my team. Can't wait to see Peyton be properly introduced to Mario for the first time.

...wearing a TO jersey and watching film of the Chiefs game. I used to root for those teams...but I also was the red power ranger and a Pokemon Masta back in the day. I grew out of each of those.

As a Cowboys fan, I'd welcome you with open arms. We already have by far the largest fan base of any team in the NFL, but we always have room for more.

Just be sure to wash off the putrid smell of your old franchise before switching over.

I am new to this board but I am done with the Texans. The only players I will root for are Dunta,Mathis, and my favorite player Andre Johnson.:crying:

Eh. If you're a bandwagon fan, that's your cross to bear, not ours. After appearing in 8 Super Bowls and winning 5, it's kind of hard to monitor how genuine new fans are, since they come along at such a high rate.

You know what, I trust Kubiak. The guy obviously was around a talented team in Denver and knows what pieces are needed to win.

I support Mario and am glad he is coming to camp to compete. Expectations are high, let's get to work.

I for one am happy with this pick. I know people wanted the sexy pick here, but Defense wins championships. Now we need a FS.
