Wow, I didn't even notice this!:

Most of the league is playing that Saturday since Christmas falls on Sunday.

I still think one of my favorite Oilers games of all time was the 10-7 win over the 49ers on Christmas Day in 1993.

Speaking of prime time games, unless I blinked my eyes once too often, it looks like Atlanta is hosting three Monday Night games and a Thanksgiving Game at Detroit.

Networks love Michael Vick.

I don't get it! We never get any love! We've beaten some good teams. And even if we don't beat'em, we at least make it come down to the wire. The Green Bay game last year was a prime example of that. Even though we lost, afterwards I was certain they were gonna give us at least ONE Monday night game this year. But two ESPN primetimes aren't bad, I guess. You gotta crawl before you walk...

Yep, but the Dallas Crapboys get their anual 2 MNF games, I swear it doesn't matter how much they suck they always get a boatload of Monday and Sunday night games.

Thats the name he gave to the girl to which he "passed" the STD to. His undercover name, Ron Mexico.

Its kind of like Joe Montana, except he's Ron Mexico. btw, ROn Mexico has herpes.

Well, at least we only have three times where there is a 3 week gap between home games (there were four times last season...hated it).

Bye in week three is really lame. The NFL should start bye weeks until at least 6 games in.

And when do we get a whiff of a Monday night game? After making the playoffs? Pretty cheesy, especially in the age of teams going up and down on a year-to-year basis.

Green Bay could miss the playoffs and still have three MNF games, it's just not fair. Did'nt the Bengals have a Monday nighter last year? They got one last year and we did'nt this year now that's cheesy.
I better not see any NFC team other than the playoff teams in a Monday Nighter or I'm going to go hunting for a schedule maker lol.

Is it me, or does the Colts schedule look a little "spoon fed".

1 cold weather game, 5 of their last 8 at home, week 8 bye, and only 1 back-to-back away game.

Sep 11 @Baltimore 8:30pm
Sep 18 Jacksonville 1:00pm
Sep 25 Cleveland 1:00pm
Oct 2 @Tennessee 1:00pm
Oct 9 @San Francisco 4:05pm
Oct 17 St. Louis 9:00pm
Oct 23 @Houston 1:00pm
Week 8 BYE
Nov 7 @New England 9:00pm
Nov 13 Houston 1:00pm
Nov 20 @Cincinnati 1:00pm
Nov 28 Pittsburgh 9:00pm
Dec 4 Tennessee 1:00pm
Dec 11 @Jacksonville 1:00pm
Dec 18 San Diego 1:00pm
Dec 24 @Seattle 4:15pm
Jan 1 Arizona 1:00pm

Buffalo still has Holcombe as Losman's backup so if he starts stinking it up he could always be benched. Plus they've got a tough defense, and McGahee running the ball. Definately not going to take a team with a rookie QB forgranted this year.

I think that's the advantage of being first up. No coach is going to want to pull "the future" out of his first game. Just think what that would do to the guy's confidence. Buffalo as an organization has a reputation for being concerned for more than just on-field production.

Something in our favor, both games that we play them, they are coming off of Monday Night games.

That's one more cold game than the Texans have! The bye is nice, though.

That's true, but we thought the same about SD. We were certain that Rivers was going to start since he was the QB of the future. Keep in mind that Buffalo has legitimate playoff hopes, and they've failed on those hopes the past two years. This is Mularkey's second season, and he has some wiggle room, but that defense isn't getting any younger. Their window of oppurtunity is closing quickly, and Holcombe has starting experience. If Losman struggles or doesn't play up to his potential then it's not out of the realm of possibility that Holcombe steals the starting spot. Losman may be the favorite to win the starting spot, but until he's announced as the starter on gameday we shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves. Besides I recall a rookie QB giving our defense a run for its money back during his first NFL start (Gary Coleman). If not for a late mistake he might have escaped Reliant with a W.

Couple of points:

- SD would have started their rookie had he not held out of training camp. Or maybe if they hadn't drafted a late-1st talent with a Top 5 pick, they might have started him even with the holdout. And SD hardly wiped the floor with us, our sudden case of fumblitis beat us.

- Leftwich is much, much better than Losman, who (IMO) will be a career backup soon.

The Bills GM Tom Donahoe has been a pretty good judge of talent over his career, and for him to trade up into the 1st Round to pick him up says alot about the guy. That means he wasn't impressed with any QB in the 2005 draft, and thought highly enough of Losman to invest in him in 2004. The point about Leftwich is that a rookie QB can beat you. Rothlisberger can attest to that. The Bills have alot of pieces in place, and they're in much better shape than the Chargers were last year when they came in and beat us. It doesn't matter if they wiped the floor with us or if they won on a last second FG. A loss is a loss, and I'm not prepared to chalk up a W just because the Bills will start Losman. This may be his first start, but he does have over a year in the Bills system as well as a full offseason to improve his strength (a major criticism of him when he was drafted). Mularkey is one of the better offensive minds in the NFL, and remember it was him who helped Tommy Maddox (someone that most thought was a bust) resurrect his career even if it was only temporarily. This will be no walk in the park.

I have Losman in one of my dynasty leagues. I think he is going to be good. He shows good touch and can run with the ball effectively to escape trouble.

I was waiting until today to make sure, but i am willing to bet that our first Monday Night Football game will be the rematch with the Cowgirls. I think that we can make some noise with the schedule that we have this season.

Buffalo's GM seems to be really pleased with Losman's development...He also said that if Losman would've come out this year, he'd likely be the 1st overall pick...

Jp's first full NFL game. Hopefully he stinks up the joint. Can't wait till Sept. 8, 10, 11, and 12.

Texas vs. Ohio State on Sept 10.

Whoo Hoo!!!

GO BUCKEYES!

Are you going? I would have to cry if you are. I'll see them when they're in Austin next year!

Dallas, GREAT! (because of starting law school and a wedding in Ohio, August is busy)

Cinci, BAD! (I wanted it to be a December game, kill seeing family AND a Texans game in one flight)

I lied. Our Houston alumni president just informed me the letter "D" (last name) is getting tickets to the Ohio State v. Texas game. I HAVE to go now!
