TERADACTYL #23
Im going to the Saints game in New Orleans, I know its a preseason game but its a good excuse to go drink and gamble. Im leaving Friday morning and coming back suday. Let me know if anyone else is going, maybe we can get out there and tailgate some.

I think I have to work that weekend lemme check the schedule next week.

This game is the week before my birthday....so I am in. I am trying to get some of my other friends to come along so that we can party tonight, but I will probably be the only one concerned with going to the game.

It might be fun but I don't want to go anywhere near NO with those toxic fumes coming off that failed oil well that they can't control. New Orleans is a cursed place. Good place for drunks to visit though..lol Y'all might want to take a gas mask down there with you.

Those fumes will just add to our buzz, should be a good time!

Kay, My daughters 21st birthday is the day of the game, we were already planning on being in New Orleans...........we are going to get tickets to the game.............we'll see you there..........:fans:

Seems like some people are intrested, has anyone ever tailgated out there or we can do some bar hoping on Bourbon street before the game.

We all need to get together and decide when yall want to get together up there.

The last time we played New Orleans, I coordinated a party at Mike Anderson's on Bourbon St. We had the upstairs dining area and balcony available. Seems like for $40 per person, there was an all you could eat buffet and of course access to the balcony overlooking Bourbon St.

Sadly, Mike Anderson's on Bourbon St. closed after Katrina but you may consider booking another similar type facility.

We had lots of fun that night but the Texans lost the next day.

Trust me, it's better to get ****-faced after the game. I was there on three occasions for Saints games last year. Only went bar-hopping prior the first time, because it's more fun down there when the Saints win.... especially when it's a big game. Fun times, fun times. :photos:

Then again the weekend of the UH/Mem march madness game...... that one was, umm, interesting. :kitten:

I plan on before and after!:drunk:

Also, Expedia's got some good FQ hotel deals right now.... just to let ya know. A lot of 20%-30% off sales.

Fair warning though if you haven't stayed in the quarter though.... parking can be a *****.

I was bumping around online looking at packages. Where will everyone wanna stay? I have never been to NO.

Maybe if there are a few of us a travel agent could hook us up?

Any hotel/casinos? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I drove there each time, and stayed at Hotel St. Louis twice. Like I said, parking's a real *****, and it's an extra $15-20 fee on top of the list price. If you're not driving in, it's a good deal. Right between Bourbon and Royal. I liked it because, even though it's right in the thick of things, it's tucked away and kinda quiet.

The other times I stayed at the chain hotels on Canal because I couldn't get in there.... which I'm not a big fan of, I like the originality inner-quarter hotels offer.

I have 5 other people going with me were talking about staying in the French Qarurter within walking distance of all the bars.

I saw a ramada I think? 5 story? I forgot.

Off for wing tuesday, dude...come tell me about it.

Im looking at Omni for 104 a night on expedia but still not sure, I will post on here what Hotel I will be staying at in the next day or so.

I resemble that remark

My wife had a business conference recently in NO. She said she stayed at one of the more well-known places, and there were hotel-employed armed guards out in front who would stop people (as they left the hotel, to go for stroll) and make sure they knew they better go one way and not another.

Doesn't sound like a fun place to me. Of course, I am all about limiting risks when it comes to physical safety...so, maybe Nawlins is not for everybody.

Y'all have fun and be good. Don't stand still for too long, or Jeremy Shockey might mistake you for a fire hydrant. LOL.

You also resemble a pimple on my ass.... SO, are you and I headin' to N.O.?????

If you are, be sure to let me know. I will provide some comfortable transport if Joe is going to be the designated driver...

Wow...that hotel must be filled with scary people. I am a young lady that is used to traveling solo. I can go to N.O without any drama. Most of the issues that I come across is creepy old men trying to holla at me. I get that when I travel on Washington and River Oaks...so I don't see the difference. I am cool with chatting with the bums and moving right along to my destination. I normally leave my title at home when I go to certain places and remember my southern roots.....

Which hotel has armed guards? WTDOA?

But it is true...if 3rd, 5th, or 4th Ward scares you, then you might not make it in any other urban city in the US....stay at home and we will post pictures. lol.

one of us didn't make sense of this..... proobably me. lol

Not that that post has anything to do with me, but where the hell is the love... I'm seriously considering my second Texans v. Saints game at the Superdome....

You love me..... You know, you love me.... :winky:
