Arkansas State safety Don Jones has visited Dolphins, visiting Jaguars today, Raiders next. Also has visits with Packers and Texans

According to Aaron Wilson from Scout.com the Houston Texans have a visit scheduled with defensive back Don Jones from Arkansas State. Jones will be visiting the Texans soon and is considered a corner back/safety hybrid player and a plus special teams player. At 6-1 and 208 lbs. Jones has the build to be used in either spot of the defense.

Jones tested off the charts when he showed a 42 inch vertical leap and ran the 40-yard dash in the low 4.4s, and at this Pro Day he showed some impressive numbers

At Arkansas State, Jones was initially a running back when he enrolled but made the transition to defense and in 2012 he was a tackling machine. He only posted one interception, but his workout numbers and college production have Jones’ stock rising as the draft closes in.

Why does the guy at Ravens Insider know more about what's happening on Kirby than the reporters here in Houston??? It's just plain sad.

'Cause he's the guy who's been here a thousand times that people messed with.
Dang, y'all chase away an insider, LOL!

Maybe General McClain is too busy elsewhere with Scorsese or Spielberg making his latest masterpiece ?

If you're relying on John McClain on news of this sort, well you're setting yourself up for big fat disappointment. I think Tania Ganguli does a better job, but in all honesty you're better off sticking with some other national sources.

Anyone have any info on Jones about his work ethic, attitude, off field record, etc...? If you can check off those boxes he sounds like a good candidate for the Texans in the later rounds. Someone Reed and Manning can take under their wings and "get'm some learnin!" :howdy:
