Mularkey was a TE in the NFL and was the OC for then Steelers before he was HC in Buffalo.

I read the title and was thinking Mularkey would be our next head coach! Whew. Had me scared for a minute.

Sorry about that. I miss typed it the first time. Like I said, it's rumor, but it caught my attention.

Interesting if Mularkey comes in as OC. He liked gimmick plays and slash style QB's in Pittsburgh. I can't think of any slash style QB's in the draft. :fishing:

I thought the prevailing opinion was that Kubiak would be his own OC. He wants to run the same type of offensive scheme that is in Denver.

I know where you are headed though... ;)

Kubiak probably wouldn't be his own coordinator, but he's going to bring in someone that he feels can run the type of system that he wants to run, and he may do some or all of the playcalling on offense too.

This is a bunch of Mularkey. :tv:

When I was king of Techmo bowl in the early 90's I used to play with the Steelers and throw TD's to Mularkey and bust out "It's a bunch of Malarkey, don't you know!"

I know, riveting drivel. :)

LOL, the Hershel Walker curl pass was UNSTOPPABLE.

The take in the Denver media is that Gary will bring the O-line coach (Dinnison?) with him and he will be the OC, but Gary will be the defacto OC for awhile. Either way we will get the O-line coach that we badly need.

I have not seen or heard anything regarding this.

From my source, Kubiak's top choice for the OC job is Rick Dennison, Denver's O-line coach. Dennison is not said to be sure if he will take the job, as he might be considered for the same with the Broncos. Mularkey has not been mentioned, of course he new to the market.

However, I have heard Greg Davis's named mentioned as TE coach.

Ok. I was premature in this tip. The source I got it from comfirmed it was speculation based on some past connection in their careers. I just thought that it was interesting given the timing of his resignation and the high likely hood of Kubiak heading out way.

I apologize for the false alarm, but I did tag it rumor.
