Round 4 Comments

Yeah, he looks pretty massive in that picture. I have seen AJ close up and he is incredibly built, this kid compares.

Certainly hope we go Elton Brown here... you wanna talk about grabbing a starter in round 4, he's the guy. At some point we're probably gonna take another corner, another WR, and an O-Lineman... and a QB wouldn't surprise me because Tony Banks is terrible...

I'm not sure about what games you have been watching....but Tony Banks is not terrible. You sound like one of those people that worship Dave Ragone (which by the way what has he done???) Well anyway, I think taking another young quaterback for the third year in a row would be a waste of a pick, and Tony has proven himself over the years. :thumbdown

Banks I suppose is a suitable enough quarterback. I'm certainly NOT a Dave Ragone fan... in fact I celebrated when we shipped him to Europe. But Banks is old, and considering that he got beat out by Dave Ragone for the backup job... I don't want to see us draft a QB, but we're probably going to at some point.

Titans just picked up yet ANOTHER reciever, I think they have more holes than that.
It's been widely speculated they would take at least 2. Drew Bennett, Tyrone Calico, and some guy named Kevin Wolcott are the only WRs on their roster.

You are completely off base on that statement. I was talking about Jerome Mathis after watching him in the Gridiron Classic well before the combine. I was amazed at what I saw of him in that game, and really wanted him from that point on.

thats were i first saw him play, he dominated in that game, no one the ability to keep up with him athleticly. good pick up and will like to see how he is used in our offense.

After hating the first pick. I think we were able to get good value with the third round pick. From what I have heard and read about this pick I'm like this :woot . This guy isn't a small burner he is 6'0" and a buck eighty-five. Also he comes with a few nice stats........ "Mathis elevated his level of play and was named Performer of the Game in the Gridiron Classic Game with 108 yards of total offense. He is a tremendous athlete with 4.4 speed and a world of confidence. In 2004, Mathis led the country in kickoff returns, averaging 35.5 yards a return, bringing back five for scores. "

About the level of competion. Lets remember that Jerry Rice and Steve McNair came from small schools. I think those guys turned out pretty well. He does come with the one thing you can't teach... SPEED!!
