The 17th annual NFL Rookie Symposium is going on this week. The rookies began arriving Sunday and the event runs through Saturday, June 28. The point of the Symposium prepares all drafted rookies for life in the NFL by teaching four core principles: NFL History, Total Wellness, Professional Experience and Workplace Conduct.
It's a four-day orientation held at the Bertram Hotel in Aurora, Ohio. It includes presentations, videos, and workshops on player health and safety, decision making, mental health, substance abuse, workplace respect and maintaining positive relationships.
The NFC rookies' orientation began on Sunday and runs through Wednesday. At that point the AFC rookies will begin their four-day experience through Saturday.
