not saying we will draft him, but I though he was projected to go in 1st round also?
 
I have absolutely no idea what happened there. I would guess he didn't have a good combine or something. If that's the case, he might be a good pickup for someone since his stock is lower.
 
He's kinda like Kiwanuka....top pick before the season and didnt really show alot in his Senior season and stock dropped big time.
 
He was a 1st round pick last year if he would of come out. This year he is projected in the late 2nd or 3rd round.
 
I wonder why we wouldn't trade a pick next season for him.. surely Payne is on his last legs and such..
 
I think teams believe that he will continue to take plays off and is not too valuable on 3rd down. Motivation problem?
 
Wright was project as a mid-late first round pick last year. This year, he did not show up most games and did not show enough potential to warrent a frst day pick. I'd say the 5th round is about right for him.

I never saw the 1st round, I saw him in the 3rd round in some mocks, maybe even the end of the 2nd, but I'm not at all surprised that he's available.
