Over the past few days, it seems to me that Reggie Bush was really starting to show his true colors...
Everyone knows that he wanted too much money.
On sports radio 610 yesterday afternoon (around 4:30) John McClain was talking about meeting Bush in NY. Bush was kind of complaining about the "controversy" and all of the media attention around it. So McClain told him: "If you just go ahead and sign with Houston, you can get down to Houston and start working out, leave California and the controversy behind you." John McClain said that Bush responded: "Mr. McNair needs to up his offer."
In the paper, about 2-3 days ago, Bush was quoted as saying: "I want to be the number 1 pick, but this is a business, and I'm not going to settle at the expense of my pocketbook."
POCKETBOOK???
It seems to me, that if I were in the situation that Bush is in, with the "controversy" surrounding him, then I would be anxious to go ahead and get a contract worked out! Not to mention that if you drop below the number 1 pick, then you are going to lose money anyways (i.e. #2 does not get paid as much as #1, #3 does not get paid as much as #2, and so on).
It really seems to me like Reggie Bush is a primadonna. Maybe rightfully so, but maybe that is not the kind of player that we need on our team...
