If you want to get mad at somebody for the condition we are in, blame Casserly, Capers, Fangio, and Pendry in whatever order. You can even throw in Palmer if you must. The problem is not that we are an expansion team, because we are not that anymore. What we are is a team in the very beginning of its SECOND era or regime and we are REBUILDING. The first era of this franchise is over and it was a failure. There's no point in saying, "This is our 5th year and I expect this or that," because this is the first year of our current regime. The other teams' fans don't say, "This is our 35th year or our 57th year and I expect us to compete for the SB by now." They judge it by how long the current coaching staff has been in place and the age of the players in general. We are in our current HC's first year and our players are still generally young. It sucks that our first regime was clueless, but let's get over it and stop blaming Kubiak for their incompetence.
