Dolphins | Poole Had DUI In February - from www.KFFL.com

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins rookie CB Will Poole pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol back in February, which likely was the result of Poole's draft stock decline. Poole dropped from a potential first-round pick to the fourth round of the NFL Draft. According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department records, Poole was arrested on Feb. 25 on a charge of drunk driving, posted $15,000 bail and, according to a source, pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge. Both the NFL and the Dolphins are aware of the situation, although Poole will not be subjected to any punishment from the league or the team because the incident happened before he was drafted. Dolphins general manager Rick Spielman declined to address Poole's arrest but said: "Whether it's a free agent or a trade or a draft pick, we do a thorough investigation on every player we bring in. We're very satisfied with our roster."

Well I guess that would explain the draft DECLINE. I just hope Will realizes that's not the way to get onto Miami's good side. My GrandFather has been a Dolphin fan 4 quite sometime infact he lives in Miami and he is one who belives in DON'T SCREW UP. LoL. . . . So if Will learns that DWI or DUI whatever it was is not the road to take then I think he will be fine, he is a good athlete, and if he pulls through this mishap he could be a big steal for the dolphins down the road.

uh...i thought it was because he was struggling to run a 4.6 40...but off the field issues do tend to be a major pain in the butt when it comes to draft status

It would sound like a combination of things that contribuited to his decline. All the factors could be attributed directly to him.

it was cause of his slow 40 times. his dui wasn't an issues. you think if Gallery had a dui he would of slipped to the 3rf or 4th round heck no. when you a DB and small like him you better run a atleast a 4.8 cause no one wants a 5'10 or 5'9 back who runs a 4.6...ya'll saw how Gambles stock drafted pumeeled cause of his slow 40 times. he got drafted on huge upside.
