Quick list of sleepers

Gabriel Fulbright - (CB-UNM)

Nick Reid - (OLB- Kansas)

Tony Palmer (OG-Missouri)

Ko Simpson (FS - S. Carolina) - it may be a reach to call him a sleeper, but he would have been much better served staying another year. He is a ballhawk to the extreme, and a true FS that our team lacks. He will be drafted behind Huff, and Bing. However he is currently my top choice for round two!!!

Ko Simpson just declared today

Don't know if he is a sleeper, but here is something I posted earlier on this board.

"if we slip down a little bit and haven't taken a lineman, we should look at Boston U's Jeremy Trueblood. I watched BU's bowl game and while Trueblood didn't make all his blocks, he missed maybe 3-4, the blocks he did make were driven into the ground. The kid's got motor and a nasty disposition. Qualities I like in a lineman."

If we are going the route of underrated first rounders who might slip, I will take Natogta (sp) as my NT of the future.

add your sleepers to this list.

Roderkus Wright, DT...some JuCo in Cali

he makes my list as a sleeper. there is a post started by wolfe on him, and wolfe deserves a lot of credit for this find.

I'm not sure if Ngata even slips out of the top 10-12 picks. No way he makes it out of the first round unless something major happens to him between now and the draft.

I never said he would slip, but even at pick #12 he would be a steal. If we trade down, and Mario is not available, it then becomes a toss up right now for me between mario, brooks, and winston

Oh, in that case, definitely (assuming that we are sticking with the 3-4)

I am assuming we stay w/the 3-4 until it is stated otherwise. We are more geared towards the 3-4 with our personel.

He has the talent to be a top 8 pick, and anything later is a steal.

Ahmad Brooks has the talent to be a top 10 pick, and anything else will be a steal. He is a better LB than Hawk IMO, but will be the 3rd or 4th LB taken as of right now.

Ko really isn't a sleeper...I'd be shocked if he isn't picked up by pick 18 (Dallas)...He and Roy Williams would make a dangerous duo...

Anyway, my sleepers are as follows:

Corey Roberts, TE, Sam Houston: a bit of a homer pick...He has potential to be a decent pass-catching TE, but isn't particularly big and is not the best blocker...

Chris Gocong, DE/OLB, Cal Poly: Buck Buchanon award winner (given to the top I-AA defensive player)...24 tackles for loss, 19 sacks, 14 QB hurries, and 3 forced fumbles don't lie, regardless of what level you're playing at...

Brandon Guillory, DE/OLB, Louisiana Monroe: former walk-on WR turned DE...Supposedly runs a 4.42 40 at 6-4 and 250...If he does that at the combine, he could possibly shoot up draft boards much like a fellow Sun Belt veteran, Demarcus Ware...

I like N Reid in the 6th round. Worst case scenario - he will be a special teams stud. And, maybe he becomes a solid bu OLB also.

While Ko isnt much of a sleeper, he will still fly under the radar because of the "big 3" at safty this year. I do not see him going to dallas. They have too many needs, such as O-line, WR, and QB. I see them going O-line in the first round, possibly McNeil. He seems to be the early odds on favorite for dallas.

I have heard some about the DE from Poly, but had not seen those stats. Stats can lie sometimes, and I really need to see his size/speed ratio before I pass judgement.

Guillory has been mentioned on this board at various times throughout the year, but he seems like a undrafted FA kind of guy. He just seems too raw for team to take a chance on. Although, if he is able to put up great combine numbers, he may slide up into the 6th or round or so.

You gota love KU guys. Regardless of the sport, we produce some of the most hard-nosed players in their respective league.

I figured I'd bring this thread back to life with another sleeper:

Danieal Manning, CB/FS, Abilene Christian: excellent in coverage and doesn't shy away from contact in run support...Has good size at 6-0 and 210...His 40 time will likely dictate where he plays in the NFL...Some are saying he could go as early as the top of round 2...
