i like gtexans roster, but i would rather go with NT Payne rather the LB Evans.TheRealJoker said:Where is Payne?!?!?!
gtexan02 said:I hate wasting so many spots on TEs. I know they are versatile because they can be either WRs or OL, but it seems like wasted spots to me
gtexan02 said:I have Payne and Wade getting cut for June 1st cap casulties. I think Polk has been solid as MLB backup for a few years, and is a good special teams player. Same can be said for Evans, imo. Theres a lot more competition this year, though, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see
Im not sure polk will make the roster, Rainer and Pierce may beat him out.

aj. said:Owen Daniels.
There could easily be 4 TEs making the roster. See Denver Broncos. Daniels is a guy they can move around. I won't go so far to say Frank Wychek but he is the H-back type.
aj said:The practice squad was expanded from 5 to 8 back in 2004. I'm pretty sure it's still 8.
newbiefan said:Actually, I don't remember where so i can't provide a link, but I believe that they doubled the size of the practice squad to 16. I could be mistaken though so dont take this as fact.

TE 4 (Putzier, Joppru, Bruener, Murphy)
D-ReK said:If Murphy makes the team, it will be as an offensive lineman...
TwinSisters said:Murphy is too small to be listed as a Tackle... I could be wrong though. I just randomly sampled OL in the NFL and they all weighed in at least 290 ( most in the 300-330 ).
Murphy is at 268 last year. That's almost a 40-50 lb difference on average.
79 Murphy, Matt TE 6-5 260 3 Maryland
The Texans offense will feature plenty of two-tight end sets, particularly on running downs, where Daniels could see time along with veteran Mark Bruener, free agent acquisition Jeb Putzier, former second-round pick Bennie Joppru and Matt Murphy, who also could play tackle.
