Practice Squad?

Any news on which 7 will join Quinton Porter on the practice squad this season? According to the Houston chronicle, Porter is the only player mentioned to have made the squad so far.
 
Based on what I saw from the guys on our roster, I would select Porter, David Anderson, John Walker, Tramon Williams, and Chris Taylor.

John McClain, of the Houston Chronicle, reports the Houston Texans will sign free agent QB Quinton Porter (Texans) to their practice squad.
 
Porter, Taylor, and Anderson have GOT to be on the PS.

You can't draft a guy like Anderson and NOT give him a shot. He's got a Brandon Stokley/Wayne Chrebet/Kevin Curtis feel to his style of play. He's the kind of guy you run screens and quick slants to.

BTW, I saw some figures on PS salaries from about 2004 (I think). Did you know that the minimum back then was like $4,000 a week for the length of the season and any postseason games if the team makes it into the postseason?

That's like somewhere in the neighborhood of at least $70,000 for practically four months of "work." Not exactly the kind of money that can set a guy up for life, but well enough to keep a guy happy while he tries to work his way up the ladder.

Probably almost as much as they made in college.
 
id like to see taylor on the practice squad -- not sure why we would sign that fatty dayne and risk losing what could be a promising rookie. at least jonathan wells is no longer stinking up this roster.

Great 1st post, welcome aboard!! While I dont hate the Dayne signing, its for all the wrong reasons. He was supposed to be the big. goaline back in NYG and thats why he wasnt as productive and now we're using him for the wrong reasons. Personally, Id rather have CT and have Lundy score (he obviously doesnt have much problem with it from his college days).

thanks! nice to see lundy getting some love around here. i like what ive seen from him and im not really that worried about not having davis. as far as dayne, i really hope we arent going to see lundy work hard for 50-70 yards on a drive only to have dayne flop in from a yard or two out...i really hate that.

im not sold on anderson as a prospect -- he's short with 4.7 speed and tends to catch the ball with his body too much...all of which are reasons NOT to keep him around imo...
