This looks really great. I think that Washington will have a tough time passing on Clausen if he is available at 4. Same thing for Earl Thomas and the Texans.

I'm leaving Thomas in the equation for totally selfish reasons plenty of time left to change ones mind starting with coin flip/Atlanta.

You know I have Thomas rated above Wilson, But I am leaning towards Kyle even if Earl is there at #20. I think this mock is pretty realistic. You need to give a reason why you think Al Davis will make a good decision or the first time in years.

letting his football people make the decision.

What kind of 40 does Anthony Davis run? Think may Al's personnel people will fake a super-fast time so they can draft someone good?

not sure if this is any easier to read threetoedpete but here ya go w/some comments :)

#1 St. Louis - Ndamukong Suh, DT Nebraska
Impact interior tackle, heart of any great building defense
#2 Detroit - u-Gerald McCoy, DT Oklahoma
Larger framed run stopper who should be elite in middle for years
#3 Tampa Bay - u-Eric Berry, DB Tennessee
elite measureables from Safety position, stock soar's after cover workouts
#4 Washington - Russell Okung, OT Oklahoma State
franchise LT, ready to start & make impact
#5 Kansas City - u-Rolando McClain, LB Alabama
ties defense together, great size, instincts for MLB position
#6 Seattle - u-Jimmy Clausen, QB Notre Dame
reminds me a little of Sanchize, quick release, moves around pocket to buy time, energizing
#7 Cleveland - u-Joe Haden, CB Florida
clear premium player @ his position
#8 Oakland - u-Anthony Davis, OT Rutgers
tons of upside, reminds me of Ryan Clady
#9 Buffalo - u-Sam Bradford, QB Oklahoma
Bills need a break, Bradford will have a chip on his shoulder, literally
#10 Denver (from Chicago) - u-Dez Bryant, WR Oklahoma State
Denver will trade Brandon, probably not for another WR, so they draft the best
#11 Jacksonville - u-Derrick Morgan, DE/OLB Gerogia Tech
Texans better get their tackles ready & draft a RB who can block
#12 Miami - C.J.Spiller, RB Clemson
natual fit, speed kills in Miami, along with Ginn make a dynamic playmaking duo
#13 San Francisco - Trent Williams, OT Oklahoma
most all-around ready tackle to fill RT spot as needed
#14 Seattle - Charles Brown, OT USC
nobody has Brown this high, but his upside as well familarity with Carrol could make him Walter Jones replacement
#15 New York Giants - Sean Weatherspoon, MLB Missouri
really impressed me @ the Senior Bowl, instant star
#16 San Franciso - Dan Williams, NT Tennessee
they have some free agents here why not upgrade for actually less
#17 Tennessee - u-Carlos Dunlap, DE Florida
another possible end to frustrate Texans tackles, good fit in Tennessee with his background
#18 Pittsburgh - u-Bryan Bulaga, OT Iowa
tough choice but think they go with good value @ need position
#19 Atlanta - u-Jason Pierre-Paul, DE South Florida
I've really not seen him play but understand measureables are off the chart
#20 Houston - Kyle Wilson, CB Boise State
playmaker, will not be intimidated, no brainer if Dunta cannot be re-signed
#21 Cincinnati - u-Earl Thomas, DB Texas
here for the taking if Texans re-sign Dunta, Bengals would snap him up since they have a hole @ safety
#22 New England - Jared Odrick, 3-4 DE Penn State
Big frame to build, high motor can probably handle playing DE in 3-4
#23 Green Bay - Mike Iupati, OG Idaho
still raw, will make mistakes but talent is undeniable
#24 Philadelphia - Brandon Graham, DE Michigan
ascending 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE ala Freeney
#25 Baltimore - Brandon Spikes, LB Florida
Ray Lewis protegee, plays with a nasty edge
#26 Arizona - Patrick Robinson, CB Florida State
moving up boards, will benefit in workouts great measreables
#27 New York Jets - Golden Tate, WR Notre Dame
Sanchize could use another weapon & Tate can do it all
#28 Dallas - u-Bruce Campbell, OT Maryland
Flozell days are numbered, Bruce should not last this long but he did come out early
#29 Minnesota - Taylor Mays, DB USC
Very athletic which seems to fit the new Viking mold
#30 San Diego - u-Jonathan Dwyer, RB Georgia Tech
another reach? Chargers do some strange things but they must address running game early
#31 Indianapolis - u-Donovan Warren, CB Michigan
next best corner or will someone else rise up boards? could not shutout Brees
#32 New Orleans - u-Brian Price, DT UCLA

teams will be gunning for the Saints, they need to get stronger upfront & keep playing physical

Nice mock BL. Considering Shanahan's in Washington now, I presume he'd go after his franchise QB if he's unable to land one via FA. Then again, this years QB crop might be less than deserving so you might be right.

Good work, man

thanks.

Washington is & has been a defensive based franchise. Shanahan was brought in to address the offensive side, so that's the first thing they focus on. I love Bradford over Clausen & if Mike can move JC you can pencil him in, otherwise I see them going QB in 2nd or 3rd rd.. Okung is a great fit for ZBS if that's what Washington converts to. He is similar to D'Brickashaw Ferguson (who was selected 4th overall in 2006) very athletic, moves well in space & a little stronger. very, very safe pick, desireable position to upgrade for any QB protection & improved rushing attack.

Well, I've always been a believer on building the trenches first, so I think going Oline would be the smartest way to go. I just think Shanny will want to get his hands on a young QB somewhere to sculpt into his next franchise QB.

maybe McCoy in 2nd or Dan LeFevour in 3rd.

I think anyone, including me, would take Sam Bradford over Clausen. And I'm a Texas fan.

I'm not so sure about that. I think Bradford will ultimately be the better player. But I think Clausen is more prepared to step in right away and contribute.

I think Clausen's potential has a higher floor than Bradford's, but a lower ceiling.
