The Eagles have positioned themselves nicely this draft, being Superbowl runner ups they have basically no holes to fill and 13 picks. They will not have the roster space for 13 rookies so it seems pretty clear they will be making some trades.

They have the 31st pick of the first round and the 4th pick of the second round, 35th overall.

According to the value chart the Texans 13th overall pick is worth 1150 points. The 31st pick is worth 600 and the 35th is worth 550, exactly 1150 points. Since most teams usually give up more to trade up its not out of the realm of belivability that we could trade that pick for the first second and maybe 6th or 7th round pick.

we would be left with 1 pick in each round with an extra pick in either the 6th or 7th round.

our picks

31st 1st round
35th 2nd round
73rd 3rd round
114th 4th round
151th 5th round
188th 6th round
227th 7th round

also we would have Buchanon from the trade eariler in which we gave up only picks.

No holes to fill? How about WR where Mitchell and Pinkston have not performed. Simon could be gone next season so they could use a DT, LB with the lost of Wayne and Reese, OL with the lost of Mayberry, RB where you are one hit away from 35yr old Dorsey Levens starting, and how about another pass rusher to pair with the Freak.

I've been saying for weeks that's the way I want to see this draft happening for us.
Now with the Buchanan trade it looks more and more like a possibility it just depends on the first 12 picks.

they have alot less to fill than the average team, they didn't have a mass extinction like the Ravens did, and with 13 picks, they will not have the roster space for that many rookies.

Here's a good quote by Casserly:

“As we sit here today, it’s still not crystal clear what’s going to happen,” Casserly said. “So I think it’s going to be an exciting draft. I have a hunch there will be a player there that we didn’t expect to be there. Certainly, you have to plan for every scenario.”

If we did end up with those picks do you think TE H. Miller will be there at 31. Some people had him going to the Jets but they have Jolly now. If so I would'nt be ooposed to taking him I still think TE and C are our worst offensive positions.
With those picks we could still get
H. Miller
David Baas
J. Mathis
D-LIne depth
RB depth.

I don't think Philly has any reason to make this trade. That being said, Heath Miller is going at #31 in my mock draft ...

Well the Philly trade has what ifs in it.
Well the first is if they cant get Miami or Cleveland to trade with them

the 2nd is if they want Williamson will be there at #13 which it is looking like he can go #7 or #9

3rd do they want Clayton If they want Clayton this deal can happen for sure no questions asked.

Here is potential mock with trades i saw
1. 49ers Rodgers
2. Buccs M. Williams
3. Was Edwards trades #9 and #25
4. Bear Benson
5. Mia C. Williams
6. N.O DJ
7. Minn Merriman
8. Ari Rolle
9. Cle Smith
10.Det Spears
11.Dal Ware
12.SD Williamson

If it went this way what would we do? Not sayin it will but its a good what if. 2 qb, 3 RB, 3 WR, 1 CB, 3 LB... in this scenario all of the players we are targeting are gone. If the Tenn trade happens i think the Rams will be scared into a trade up bc
14.Car Barron
15.KC James
16.Ten Brown
you see where i am going with this.

A team like Philly would be the kind of team to trade up with Tenn who could use the extra picks and draft a Longhorn like DJ or Cedric. Philly has drafted alot of longhorns much like Det. in the past.
