Pollard fined $42K for hit on Andre Johnson

The NFL has fined Titans safety Bernard Pollard $42,000 for his hit on Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson.

The NFL confirmed the punishment Wednesday, saying Pollard was fined for hitting a defenseless receiver in the head or neck area with his shoulder.

The hit in last week's 30-24 overtime win by Houston left Johnson with a concussion after Pollard helped knock him out of bounds near the goal line late in regulation.
