Pittsburgh at Cincinnati

Showtime100

Got JJ?
As I post there's three minutes and change left in the first. Hate to mention the Texans, but this already looks like a game between TWO teams that have it together.

0-0 early.

That might have been a good call according to the rules. But that wasn't helmet to helmet, just a solid shot, IMO.

These two teams hate each other. Otherwise, this game actually feels a lot like our game. One team has a two score lead & it feels insurmountable. Bengals have just as much offense as we did today.

15-0 Pittsburgh. I can't tell how much of this is Jim (wish he weren't from Houston) Nance, but there is some nasty blood out there. Big Ben just went down, but maybe just temporarily.

Start of the 4th.

Only minutes after I say that the Bengals actually score a TD... Looks like Landry Jones is coming in too. 15-7 Steelers.

Cincinnati makes it 15-10 with 5:40 (give tor take) to go.

I think they dug a hole too deep to beat Pittsburgh, at least on 1/9/16.

We'll see.

Steelers have been pathetically conservative in this half. Playing not to lose usually holds you back from winning.

The whole Cincinnati team. And this isn't the 1st time. Pacman Jones is a joke.

Pittsburgh wins because the Bengals have zero character.

The Bengals players and fans all deserve this based on what I've seen tonight. Cheering injuries, taking cheap shots, talking **** relentlessly. Just pathetic.

Burfict looked like a clean it hit to me he lead with the shoulder on shoulder but who know it was so fast ANYwho

Bungles lose again

15-yard penalty number 2 in the sequence, but in all honesty I could be mistaken.

There was the original 15-yarder, then Pacman got another for arguing. I would take no offense at being corrected.
It sure as hell better not be for just arguing.

Looked like he pushed a referee?
Makes more sense. Am I the only one wondering was his 15 yard penalty wasn't clarified a little more? It basically gift wrapped the Steelers with the win..

Uncontrolled emotions determined the outcome of this game. Hope it hurts enough to come to the conclusion that the price was a loss and embarrassment for long time.

The entire Cincinnati team was out of control. It may have been a team penalty more than anything, and #24 was just the closest to the officials.

I think he went to talk to brown I guess to apologize and one of the pittsburg trainers swiped his hand away then I seen whats his face porter Get grabbed by somebody LOL and his face was priceless lOL

Yeah, the Bengals always seem to come unglued when it matters most.

Doesn't have to be helmet to helmet. Just has to be a hit to the head or neck of a defenseless receiver (if I have the play right based on your message time stamp).

Vontaze Burfict could face a suspension & Joey Porter could be looking at a fine. Not Adam Jones... Put this in the 'wtf' meter for me. You get a 15 yard penalty that costs your team a game in the playoffs and the other teams guy is going to get the fine after the game? Is this the NFL admitting they flagged the wrong guy?

After the Brown hit, Steelers assistant Joey Porter came on the field because he had valid concern for Brown. Via Rapoport: "Assistants are not allowed on the field during injury timeouts. Medical staff, trainers, attendants and the head coach can come out to check on the welfare of the player. With an injury that appears to be more serious you will see players and other staff out on the field at times to check on player. The referees gave Porter the benefit of the doubt because there was real concern for Brown. The officials were working to clear the field and keep the two teams apart when (Bengals cornerback) Adam Jones came in and tried to get at Porter, so he was penalized. There was a lot of talk back and forth and the crew was trying to get both teams to the sidelines."

However, real concern or not, Porter could very well incur a fine for his actions while on the field.

ESPN first reported the possibility of punishments to Burfict and Porter.

Marvin Lewis is 0-7 in the playoffs!
And yet, the Bengals are going to keep him...
12 full seasons as head coach for the Bengals.
Seven trips to the playoffs and not a win.
Even Gary Kubiak, while here, out-coached him twice for two playoff wins.
