Hey, there's a petition for everything else. Who's with me? Sign the petition to convince the Texans to trade down from the #1 pick. The way I figure it, this petition should be just as effective as the "Draft Bush" & "Draft Young" petitions. So, all you have to do is vote for one of the selections in the poll & have your voice heard by all. :stirpot:

The more I've been thinking about it, the more I've come to realize that trading down really is the best option...Bush lovers cite what Kubiak has done for Plummer as a reason to keep Carr since they are similar QBs...Young lovers have cited what Denver's system has done for RBs as a reason to not draft Bush...It has been repeatedly proven that defense wins championships, so we should trade down and select the best defensive player available, then use the rest of the draft to bolster our lines and defense...Kubiak is an offensive "guru", so I think that his presence will cause the offense to perform at a higher level...

Im not against trading down but you can't limit ourselves to that. I would only be in favor of trading down if we were getting a good deal. If other teams believe we are gonna trade down regardless then they won't give that much compensation. If the trade value is less than a Reggie Bush then i say take Reggie Bush. Trading down is also a little harder than it sounds. Both teams will be very careful not to get shafted on the deal which could make things kinda tricky.

Agreed. However, if you can get 2 or more teams worked up into a frenzy thinking that another team will trade up & get the guy they just can't live without, then you can come out smelling like a rose. Let's pray that Bush & Young have great combines & any games they might play.
