Oregon has evolved into what they were supposed to be at the beginning of the season. It's not just USC that the polls and talking heads have a love affair with though. you could say the same thing about Ohio State, Florida/Tim Tebow and even LSU, OU & Texas to a point. The whole system is just a joke.

the polls love anyone who's been there before or has some sort of marquee element. the voters are really really stupid and neanderthalish, so they need bright shiny objects and something new scares them.

They need what puts asses in the seats and TV money in their pockets We want a playoff system .... I bet the players do too , let them settle it on the field.
