Peek plus #33 to the Patriots for #21?

Now that we have about six DE's I wouldn't be surprised if we packaged a player plus a pick to move up. Does anyone think this is possible since NE reportedly had interest?

That might pick up some spirits around here. Bumping P-Burnt to the bench would be hard for anyone to object to.

I think that's a great idea.

Here's what really irritates me though. Look what all we gave up to get Babin (even though it was a different coaching staff) and now that he has a chance to possibly start as a RDE we go and spend the #1 pick on Mario Williams. They should have given both Babin a Peek a chance at that position this year before spending a high draft pick on it, ESPECIALLY #1!. Not so much Williams I don't like, it's the timing.

they didnt actually have interest. from what i heard some reporter just threw peek's name in with some other guys cause peek was the same type of player.

There were rumors about them wanting to bring Peek in for an interview, until we tendered him with a 1st round offer (he was a RFA with a 3rd round compensation if we had used the low-tender)

They may move him inside on passing downs and give one of those guys a chance to rush. We definitely don't need both of them though. I guess the confidence in a rush was simply not there. Looks like Kubiak probably didn't care much for that trade either. Time to move on to a new era.
 
We aren't going to send Peek anywhere, he is still a pretty integral part of our defense in passing situations, look for him to have a role like Robert Mathis of the Colts. I could see them trying to trade Babin off but I doubt we get much for him at this point.

Yeah well, there's really no doubt that Williams is the choice there. I guess it just comes to: 4-3 equals we don't really need Babin or Peek.

edit: Of course, you have to realize that I'm 5'9" 160 and I could take all 3 of them. :) :)
 
The word is that they are looking to move up from #33 to.....(drum roll)....draft a running back. For a team that supposedly had all it needed in Domanick Davis they certainly aren't acting like it.

When did the organization imply that all they needed was Davis? Kubiak has said quite the opposite on many occassions...There is a reason we were targeting Bush at 1...Apparently, you want to pay 56M for 15 plays a game...That is simply not a sound football decision...
