Patrick Willis

Possible but not likely. He's doing extremely well in senior bowl practices and scouts/coaches are lined up trying to talk to him after practice...he was the last one to leave yesterday and a senior bowl coach had to drag him off.

He's the top rated MLB in the whole draft and probably LB in general as well. Teams that need a LB esp MLB will jump all over him.

His stock is good right now...but it keeps rising.

but again anything can happen. we should only get him if we trade down, i concur.

Agreed on this. However, Carolina is very needy with the loss of Dan Morgan. How many concusions does that make now ? Be a few Land minds to get Willis to the forty.

Why would you move Demeco out of the middle ?

A position where he recorded the most tackles for a rookie in the past twenty years, was selected as defensive rookie of the year, team MVP, leader of our defense, and was a borderline pro-bowl player ?

Yeah, lets move him out of the middle....

Because we don't know yet if he is Lawrance Taylor. If he is, do you waist LT at the mike when he could play a high level will and post ten sacks a season ? It's not nothing. It's a possiblity. Not probable ...possible. I think Willis will go for a needy 4-3 team any way. Unlikly he'll be there at the forty.

The way he was playing this season after his previous season. The way he is playing during the Senior Bowl practices; getting extra attention from Mike Singletary. He is probably going to go pretty high.

all i ever needed to hear about this kid i heard just yesterday on the nfl network when the guys were talking about him and how mike nolan said the best linebacker i thought i would ever coach in this game was demeco ryans last year but now that i've been around patrick willis i have come off being more impressed by him and his football knowledge and savy than ryans last year...nuff said...willis will be a stud

I was impressed when I heard that as well. I was just looking to see if i could get some updates on the game and came on this at nfl.com.

its a 'trick' play by the north. and what i noticed was the play patrick willis made to tackle him. its good when they replay it from the back and watch willis #49. he was very quick to diagnose the play and chase the guy down.

i also noticed brandon meriweath #19? didn't get there in time and didn't shed the blocker. and i believe it was aaron ross from ut that was chasing the receiver from the back but couldn't check up...then watch patrick fly across the field....i was just as impressed by that than the actually pay be the wr.

EDIT: Forgot the link!... the play is at 15 seconds....http://play.rbn.com/?url=nfl/nfl/op...012707&rpcontextwidth=417&rpcontextheight=250

Just reading over John Lopez blog "Senior Bowl reports" in the Chronicle on line and saw that the Texans were observing Okoye and Willis on Wednesday the 24th. Don't know how much can be read into this, but I thought it was interesting. Here's the link http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/houstonchronicle/lopezblog/~3/81718009/senior_bowl_rep.html Just click on "the Texans are headed" and scroll down to the Houston Texans.

He also has in there they focused on 2 quarterbacks on Tuesday. Just click on the "focused in on two quarterbacks."
