Passing Offense Now?

Rookie
With the release of the Halloway, andt he Texans having 2 Active Tight Ends on the roster, does this mean the Texans will throw the ball more. Usually, a team likes to have at least two good blocking tight ends, and a pass receiving TE. I love B-Mill, but he's not the best blocking TE, while Brunner may be one of the best ever. However, does this show the change in philosophy for the Texans or Capers confidence in Davie Franchise. I think the Texans will go Three wide more often, and air it out. This will set up the zone blocking scheme and allow DD to do his thing! What's your thoughts? :headbang:

i think it means they have some measure of confidence in jopprus ability to comeback and they also have their eye on another te that was cut today.
.

They have more confidence than me then , I dont have any faith in Joppru ever coming back at least not more than one game or two enough time to get hurt again besides hes been inactive now for a whole season and still gonna miss more games, Im really suprised they waived Murphy that was a shocker for me , I woulda had him in the lineup as the number 3 and Joppru in the practice squad .

I agree with Powda on this, but I think they will be doing more 3 wideouts also. I watched the Buc's game for the first time today and was kind of surprised how many 3 & 4 WR sets we used. With the new "No Touch" rule, it is in our best interest to throw more. I look for AJ and others to have a big year.

If it were up to me, I'd insert Todd Washington in at LG, moving PItts out to LT and Wand out to LTE when they wanted to have two blocking TEs. Each of Washington, Pitts and Wand have experience with these responsibilites and it saves a roster spot.

Byron Chamberlain is a more than capable TE that could be drawing some interest from us. Don't you think?

He and Ricks were both released yesterday. Ricks is more of a Billy Miller type of TE, and I'm not sure where Chamberlain is if the Broncos cut him. They're in desperate need of some passing options with the departure of Sharpe. All they have is Rod Smith and Lelie. It seems like he should've had a great chance at earning a spot there.
