There are still a lot of positions up for grabs, from starting spots, to lowest rung guys just trying to claw their way onto the PS.

LB is becoming very interesting. With a "healthy" Harris, there are four locks.

Niemann, Hansen, and Hill have all looked good, and all have plus ST ability. They aren't carrying seven.

Most likely five. Six? Maybe I guess. But it could come down to six backers or seven WR's - another close battle I'll be keeping a close eye on.

As per usual, I'll also be paying close attention to the O-line. I want to see another standout performance by Ersery. If he does it - he will lock down LT imho.

RB? Another interesting one, largely due to health. I'm curious as to what Chubb can do out there. I'm not expecting magic, but I want to see a guy that still has enough in the tank to be the starter until Mixon is healthy. I guess Pierce isn't playing. He's becoming odd man out. Too bad. If he was healthy, he might start against the Rams. As it stands...he's not on my 53. Can they PUP him? Or short term IR him? I'd rather find a way to keep him around in case Mixon's injury becomes a long term issue.

Last big position group I'm eyeing is safety. Another one where it's largely due to health. Let's see how the group shakes out.

Most importantly - no major injuries please. Double wish for starters and key reserves, but let's see both teams come out, compete, and walk out healthy. Amen.

Loved the TD drive. Hated they didn’t get it done on 3rd down, but they totally redeemed themselves with that tough 4th down TD conversion.

Also, really liked how Chubb handled his carries. Higgins lay out catch was pretty special as well.

Got to take a break from the lawn b/c the game was starting and it was Hotter Than Hell. Taking an even longer break….thunderstorm is finally delivering more than sound effects.

Caley isn't going to show a lot in preseason. But I think we can get an idea of how he wants the offense to look. Go right at the defense with the run. No more Bobby Slowik wide tosses where the the edge can't get blocked. Get the ball to the playmakers quickly on offense. Don't hold on to the ball on early downs. Keep the defense on their heels. I think this will work.

I think we will also see plenty of short throws - hopefully we have an Ace in the slot hole.
