Palmer

Does anyone relay belive the offense (or lack there of) was Palmer's fault? I know at the begining of the season everyone said it was because of Palmer, but the way we play just smacks of Capers. Do you really think that the man who on third and goal against the best defense in the league calls a play-action, fake reverse for a TD while making the Steelers look stupid would than call for a run to left from a 3TE set for little to no gain at least ten times? I mean, his entire philosophy is "run-and-gun" and, guess what, the ONLY time we had any success last week was when we spread out the ofense. Armstrong finnally got on the field and made a couple of nice caches, we had success running draws and such from the spread offense and the only time we moved the ball out of the 3 TE was with play-action.

On a side note, why is it that when we have decent depth at WR, probbalbly one # 1 reciver and 4 #3 recivers, we go with 3 TE, probbably the poistion we have the worst depth at!
:bomb:

:soapbox: (rant over)
And, for the love of God, someone tell MOrency he is allowed to change directions on kick returns!!!

I Agree, Capers' idea of a perfect team is the blueprint of the Ravens when they won the Superbowl, we don't have the RB (nothing against DD), the line, or the defense, so how is it supposed to work?

That is what we should ask the Dom himself and maybe CC. Why in the name of all things holy would you draft a QB with your first pick and a WR with the first pick in your next draft if you want to run the ball, punt and play for field position? :brickwall

Not entirely, but he was defintely a piece of the puzzle that did not work. If he was calling the "perfect plays" to be overturned by whomever on a regular basis, I would think he would've had the nuts n' bolts to raise a stink.....
