KEY INFO FOR HOUSTON TEXANS VS. GREEN BAY PACKERS
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Fans urged to arrive early and be in the stadium by 7:00 p.m.

The Houston Texans will host the Green Bay Packers for the franchise's first Sunday Night Football appearance on Sunday, October 14 at 7:20 p.m.

In order to help fans better prepare for Sunday, following are several key pieces of information regarding the game.

Gameday Information

• Budweiser Plaza, will call and premium gates will open at 5:20 p.m

• All non-premium gates will open up 90 minutes prior to kickoff at 5:50 p.m.

• Churrascos Club will open 2 hours prior to kickoff at 5:20 p.m

Parking Lot Information

• Platinum lot will open at 2:20 p.m.

• All other parking lots will open four (4) hours prior to kickoff as with all other Texans home games. The lots will open at 3:20 p.m.

• Pedestrian gates will open at 3:50 p.m.

• Because of the later than normal kickoff time, fans will not be allowed to block the normal flow of traffic by lining up their vehicles along Kirby Dr., Main St. or other city streets before 2:30 p.m.

• All visitors to the Houston Texans home games MUST have a Game Ticket or Tailgate Guest Ticket to be on the Reliant Park grounds. Fans who do not have one of these items will not be allowed to enter Reliant Stadium grounds (a parking pass alone will not allow you access onto stadium property).

• Tailgate Guest Tickets for Sunday are completely sold out and there will be none available for purchase the day of the game.

Well, they need to bone up on their own history! This is not our very first Sunday night football game. Did they really forget 19-10????? Our very first regular season game, EVER?????

Be aware folks. I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer here, but plan in advance. Don't rely on 'so and so said they did such and such last week' and be mad when they enforce these rules for SNF.

Didn't we also play the Packers on Sunday night a few years back whn they had Favre?

Is that when they won with a field goal as time expired? I was in the dark side then. I remember sitting in my seat with my head in my hands for about 10 minutes after that game.

Of course, since then we've sadly become desensitized to last second losses....

I think they mean the first time on SNF since it moved over to NBC a few years ago. It is now the PREMIER time slot for the NFL since it is not on cable. A different network, different operation so I guess they aren't counting before they switch.

When we played the Packers years ago, that was on ESPN on Sunday night and MNF was still on ABC, and then MNF was the premier game of the week. I think the switch happened when ABC acquired ESPN, the moved MNF to "cable" and SNF to regular network TV.

I was at that game, and was pissed that Longwell made that kick, stayed the night at the Holiday Inn and had to put up with cheese heads all night. Although they were cool fans, actually had a good time with them.

Seriously - NO comments about this? I swear if one person comes on here Monday and acts surprised about this, lifetime ban!

That is the main reason I posted the thread, I thought that needed to be out there for everyone to see. Thanks for emphasizing it.

There were a lot of questions earlier about the tailgating.

Also, the 2:20 Platinum lot open is going to be real close to the 2:30 time they are allowing people to line up for the other lots. I foresee a bit of a mess getting into the lot on Sunday.
