OC Candidates

This is very early, but I thought I’d bring up the question.

1) Do you think OB finally agrees to hiring an OC during the offseason?
2) Who would you go after?

TexansWire recently posted an article about the possibility of Kliff Kingsbury. I think he could definitely be an option, but it ultimately will come down to OB and Gaine.

With the teams excellent performance, BOB will only become more confident that he is doing a Fine Job.

I think Nathaniel Hackett is a solid OC who was a scapegoat in Jacksonville for their OL injuries and poor organizational decision to extend Bortles.
Right. If HC Marrone, GM Caldwell, and team president Coughlin think this absolves their mistake, no one is buying it. I also think there's a lack of discipline and leadership on the Jags. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Coughlin doesn't take over the HC reigns in 2019. Watch for Eli to join him.

Dungy as OC and Romeo as DC? You'll need a geriatric specialist on the medical staff for the coaches.
Let's say they have a lot of experience. It has nothing to do with their age or the color of their skin.

Hackett is highly respected around the league, I don't think he will be out of work long. From what I have heard from people who pay more attention to the Jags than I, Hackett was let go in part because he wanted to stick with Bortles(the first time after our game). Honestly a lose lose scenario for him. Either keep rolling with Bortles who has had a major regression this year, but he had success with the year before or go with Kessler who hasn't been good in his career, who most likely will continue to not be good so he would have led to his firing anyways.

That's true. The question is, will Bill O'Brien be cool with that?

I think this is the only way OB is cool with having an OC. He has someone that he has taught, and groomed in his offense. He did it with Godsey, didn't work out but doesn't mean the next guy won't. They did it with Vrab's, and that's how he was brought up, and how they do it in NE. You bring a guy up in your system, let him learn for awhile before handing him the keys.
