Oakland Roadtrip

You need to go and hit this tailgate, The BBQ Party by Kingsford Kirk, Kay I will PM his number, if you meet him early enough he will let you ride into the lot with him. I am also calling him to let him know your coming. Mike you can come too if you want too. I assure you it is the best place for Texans on Oakland Radier Property
 
Are Raider games really that much of a problem for visiting fans?

I find this really annoying.

If I want to go visit an opposing stadium and cheer for my team without being an asshole, then I should be allowed to do that. It sucks that opposing stadiums can "scare" you into not going.
 
I agree...if I want to support my team without being a pain..I should be able to....

So, I will be in Oakland..

Joe, I just hooked up with Kirk and he has two tix for me on the 20 yard line....Front Row! I am stoked and will see him at his tailgate. He said to tell you hello for him.
My son, a sorry Raider fan will be with me and have to sit on our side! I'm loving it already.

Joe has been there a couple of times I believe and was treated like a King by Raiders fans!!
 
If you want to travel to an away game and feel you need direction because of rumors or urban legend, let me know and I will get you the hook up. I belong to the best group in the NFL called the Pro Football Ultimate fan association. We have a reunion every Hall of fame weekend and it is off the hook. Yall feel welcome to get info from me at any venue. I want all Texan fans to see that the NFL has the greatest fans in the world.

Hey, it's mostly urban legend. Our fanbase has nothing against your fanbase. We have no horrible history. No love for the Oilers but that's yesterdays news. You are the Texans. And, btw, I have nothing but love for your fans. You have treated me well in the past (thank you Grandma, Dante, Ted, Joe, etc.) and (ask Mike Moffat) I like to think that we have treated you well also.

Now, if you are a 49er, Steeler, Chief, Bronco, or especially a Charger fan...........All bets are off!!!!!

I've got to say that CC is 100% correct. She and her crew treated me and my family like we were their family. I had the greatest time at your tailgate. We lost, but, I still talk about the two hours before the game.
Kirk has hooked me up with two tix on the Houston side on the 20 yard line. I'm not sure of the section. I've got yours and will definately come by and see y'all.

Earlier I stated there's no way I'm going to this game. But my buddy just called me up and said he got three free tickets, in the suite, with complimentary alcohol. So how can I turn this down? I'll be there!!!

Dr2bKay, we tailgate in Lot A along side the road that goes directly around the stadium. Look for the Marine Corps flag.
 
Hey CC, you've always been a class act in my book. I also think Raider fan gets a huge bad rap. Whether I've been on y'alls board or some of y'alls fans here (you included - obviously) have been great!!

PS... Take care of my Kay!! I don't want have to come out there and kick some tail!! ;)

Thank you. But I don't foresee there being any issues. Your team is not a hated rival (even though we have played each other every year since '04, I think) and I am sure that your peeps will have a good time. Hopefully, minus the outcome ;-)
 
CC's right. When I was there the last time, I caught a ration of (you know what). But, one of the best comments that I got was "Don't put yourself too high. You're the Texans, not Denver."

When I lived in LA, I went to several Texans games at Oakland. I didn't have any problems and the picture below was taken at one of the games.

You just need to be polite and courteous. In response, Oakland fans are amazing from my experience. They will offer you plenty of food and drink.

Have fun but very nice!

Made it to Oakland safely. This is totally a blue collar town. Not fancy.

I am excited and ready to experience the tailgating and game tomorrow. Off to find a sports bar!
 
Getting ready to head to the airport for Miami. Going on a cruise til the Giants game.

I loved the experience in Oakland. I was worried at first....but I had a blast!! The PFUFA Oakland fans were wonderful!! Their tailgating was the BOMB!! They had a great setup.... I had to text Ted and Kurt to let them know how much fun I was having. I put several pictures on facebook already from the tailgating. The only bad thing was the constant weed that was being smoked....I was reminded quickly that I was in Cali.

The stadium was very old and dirty but the people inside of it were great!!! I had great seats. Before the game, I was able to talk to Jamey Rootes about my feelings towards the new tailgating policy and my reaction to his 610 interview. I love that he spent like 20 minutes talking with me and personally addressing my concerns and understanding my viewpoints...#1 reason why I love the Texans!!! What other team president does that!!!

I hope that Bernard's injury isn't as bad as it looked IRL....and I will be glad to see Cush back in action.

Thanks Joe Texan and Ted C for giving me access to their PFUFA friends! I love you guys bunches...See you guys and the Blue Crew when I get back to the U.S. from the cruise.
 
Just got home about an hour ago. We had a Great time! It was good to see CC and everyone again.

DR 2BKay, it was absolutely fantastic that I got to meet you as well. I have lost my voice from all of the yelling.

JoeTexan, you were right on about Kirk. He scored front row tix for me and my son. We had a blast!

The Texans were well represented today.
 
Kirk and crew are the real deal. Wish I could have made it up this year, but I'm happy to see that some fellow Texans fans were able to have a great experience like I did.

Raiders fans are some of the best there is in my book. If you don't believe it, you haven't been to a game there. I give them my complete respect.
 
I was pleasantly surprised to see a good number of Texans fans represent! I didn't see any of them get harassed, except for the occasional trash talk. I overheard, though, just don't go to a Raider game against a division rival or the Niners.

I was laughing when they showed the Niners losing on the big screen and everyone cheering. But at the same time, everyone was following the SF Giants game and rooting for them? Odd bay area fans.
