Now I was just wondering what the people crying about the media not giving exposure to the Texans are thinking right now.
The Texans are a playoff contender this, the texans are going to turn alot of heads that.
I am a Texans fan, but not a fanboy and try to be very objective. My expectations were somewhere between 6-10 up to 9-7 if some luck turns our way.
After losing to two of lesser teams in the league, I was just wondering where these fanboys went crying about respect. The media gives respect as it is earned. Stop the crying about the Texans not getting any respect ever.
It is a third year expansion team where the number 1 expansion pick is gone because of injury.
The offensive line is in the bottom five in the league as far as pass blocking is concerned. The secondary outside of aaron glenn is mediocre at best. There is very little pressure getting to the quarterback. The defense has not been able to force any turnovers either, outside of Aaron Glenn being a badass, and even he could not stop the wide reciever monster of Roy Williams all game. (He had good coverage on both TD plays, but the size and playmaking ability of Roy is alot to handle) Although the offense shows a lot of promise, is very young and inexperienced and it is shown with plenty of yardage, but with excessive turnovers which is to be expected. Coupled with the fact the Texans have to play the Colt, Titans, and Jags twice each, how could you realistically expect the playoffs.
But the Texans have alot of talent and will look good many times the rest of the season. Nobody should give up on the team yet.
My point is, STOP WITH THE RESPECT TALK. YOU GET RESPECT WHEN YOU EARN IT.
The Texans simply dont deserve it quite yet. Coupled with unrealistic expectations from fans, patience is the key. Two years from now your Texans should be able to earn respect, and turn that corner known as the playoffs.
