Awesome app. if you have Verizon you need to get it. I was able to stream the games televised in my area... great quality & it doesn't use any data...

so next weekend, if I have to work, I'll be able to stream the game.

My boss might not think it's cool...

I specifically switched to Verizon a couple years back because they are the only carrier to have it. I have watched many a Texans game on my phone while on the road. Awesome app indeed
 
I didn't realize it didn't use your data. You can bet your ass I won't be counting on the wifi at NRG any more.

Not so. I had no wifi & it worked very well.

The only caveat, is that you can't watch any game you want, or all the games... you can only watch the games televised in your local area. So if there's a game at NRG, you'll have a choice between the Texans & whoever is playing the game on fox.

Would not connect for me with no wifi
 
I've not only used it without WiFi but I have specifically turned WiFi off when it was a weak signal. But I'm pretty sure I don't believe the part about it not using data
 
I'm with Verizon, and NFL Mobile uses up my data. I went through about 9gb+ when we played Denver. No biggie, I know to use wifi next time. I just don't understand why my data gets used up when they clearly advertise that it won't.

I think data only gets used if you have no wifi. My plan doesn't have data and I can't connect if wifi not available.

It does seem like it. Those ads are very misleading, as the app is just like any other app. (YouTube, Netflix, etc.)

That's not really 'doesn't use your data' though. It's just standard usage like any other app.

It's a dirt merchant claim.
